the fact you consider "funk" as equivalent to f u ck AND then claim there is a difference between direct and implied sex means to me you will twist everything just to uphold your own opinion. In all your threads, you also never accommodate any counters. You are so adamant in what you believe in even if you have to use some kind of weird logic to appear correct. Now I understand why members more senior than I am call you a troll

:bye:

Like is not extremely obvious how funk sounds like. WTF is a **** bicycle anyways?

it's not like she's saying "f*ck my pu**y" lol :air: it's still, as you said, naming sexual parts/implying sex

back on the OP, MR cant be radio friendly but Hello can be.

Side to side can be but DIC cant be

:sure:

Hello is strictly a pop sound. MR is a country ballad. Country is not very marketable to many. Specially internationally. And by the way just because a non radio friendly song is played on radio it doesn't mean that that's the norm. And DIC lyrics are not its only wierd aspect. The songs is a mixture of tropical, bollywood, and guitar driven sounds.

no Gaga ballads are made to become hits.

It could have been but the execution and video were not well done

I don't think Gaga was going for "Radio-friendly" when she decided to records these songs. We've gotten multiple proof that Gaga is passionate about music and we've seen even a sneak peak at how she works in the studio.

If you look at Born This Way and ARTPOP, these albums are not "radio-friendly" or easy to get into (if we compare them to albums released by Britney, Katy Perry and pre-Anti Rihanna). She has always been like that.

She specifically mentioned during the PI era that majority of Joanne doesn't follow radio trends. Which is okay IMO, because The Fame's singles were completely different than what the radio was playing at the time (R&B, pop rock stuff).

It ultimately comes down to execution and timing, something that the Joanne era is messing up on.

PI could've been a moderate success if she promoted it, which she did not.

MR should've been announced as the second single earlier than it did and should've had the video out the day of the album release so that a) GP would have visuals and new music b) fans had more links to share, and c) so that the momentum of the era would be at a continuous pace until the SuperBowl.

All of those potential things that just didn't happen.

But I still hope that MR can take off after the Christmas season.

Million Reasons IS radio friendly, radio stations are simply refusing to play it.

I think most of Joanne is radio friendly, especially Diamond Heart, A-YO, John Wayne, Dancin' In Circles, Perfect Illuison, Million Reasons, Come To Mama, Hey Girl, and Just Another Day

Let's funk downtown/play that funky music whiteboy

If you think about it, Flo Rida had Whistle out. And we all know what thats about! Jason Derulo had Talk Dirty and Trumpets. Britney has slumber party. Nicki Minaj had Anaconda. Arianna Grande has Side to Side. So why cant Gaga have Dancin' In Circles on the radio? All the songs I mentioned have sexual refferences in them.

Not sure about in the US but in the UK our radio is literally just a constant repeat of generic pop because they know it catches on like wildfire and it will make them more money. Justice for Joanne:nails:

is this the best excuse we can come up with when her singles flop?

It's not an excuse , Gaga herself months before the album's release said it's nothing like what's played on the radio plus when was the last time you listened to a folk or country rock song like the ones in Joanne on the radio.
