Not The Real Gaga 7,512
It's a long story, so here is your reaction if you are too lazy to read it: "TL;DR" Let's start with this old picture. For some reason, this kind of photographs always makes me emotional: the fact that she worked so hard as a young girl to follow her dreams, while she is a fully grown-up power woman now. Undoubtedly, very talented and a great vocalist, with a lovely and brave personality. She knew she had everything in her to become a worldwide famous popstar since the beginning and she did it. Her career exploded when she released her hit singles and top selling albums, like Just Dance, Poker Face and of course, Bad Romance. She gained extra attention because of her "remarkable" clothes, wigs, make-up and whole appearances. One of the best-known examples of this is of course, ... the "meat dress". Critics didn't stop her. She envolved herself more and more, actually. Gaga produced her outstanding pop albums Born This Way and ARTPOP. Both albums also faced some heavy, negative reactions, both from critics and the public. But she didn't shut her mouth. She spoke more and more about values as freedom, LGTB-rights and more. BUT something was going on. Something went wrong, mostly during the ARTPOP-era: her fans were letting her down. Many Little Monsters burned their stan cards, because they didn't like Gaga's new work as much as they liked her previous music. Which is fine, of course. Everybody is free in havin' an opinion. But something went extremely wrong: some former fans were even dragging her. On top of that, ARTPOP didn't sell well, and the ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour wasn't as succesful as her previous concert tours were, and the number of YouTube views wasn't really high in contradiction to co-popstar Katy Perry, who dropped an album at the same time. The question raised in the media: "Is Gaga over?", because of the negative response. The General Public seemed to have lost her. Her new songs hadn't been picked up by the radio stations. Gaga took a step back, obviously. It was time to "reinvent" the brand "Lady Gaga". So, what followed was a series of performances by Gaga, but completely different as her general work. She did a jazz album with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek, did a few amazing performances and tributes during some different Award Shows, released a very emotional song Til It Happens To You with Daine Warren and started her acting career with most notable, American Horror Story: Hotel. And almost EVERY SINGLE TIME she received critical acclaim. She got more, and more positive attention. Some fans found their way back, also. In October she surprised us with LG5, an album called Joanne. The lead single of the new project was Perfect Illusion. The new album is really different in comperasion to her previous albums. Some call the album "country style", but the fact is that it is one of her purest albums every. Gaga often explains the meaning of the songs on the album, Joanne is very personal. And wouldn't you say that she gave us, her fans, another unique inside in her personal feelings? Personally, I love the album, I really do. Not all of the songs, like Dancing In Circles for example is definitely not my cup of tea, but I can still appreciate it. But some "fans" do find it necessary to put their "hate machine" on again if they don't like something. With Joanne, Gaga faced a lot of negative comments again, unfortunately. Some fans don't like her "new sound", others don't like her more "simplistic outfits" nowadays and other simply want "their old Gaga" back, the meat dress-girl, the Paparazzi-girl. But, we all know she owes us NOTHING. She took us in a personal bath and told us (again) she regulary faces depression. Recently, she have told us more about her PTSD, about her feelings about life, being famous and her family. Sometimes hided under the "Lady Gaga"-mask. I know for sure, a lot of us know EXACTLY what she is dealing with. So, what I wanna share with you is that I respect her so much. Look at her career, how she started, where we have been through together with her. All those beautiful moments and memories we all have, because of and with her. She did it also for US! She keeps going, while she in the main time faces her personal feelings. She is a fighter, and it makes me sad that some "fans" gives up when she does something else. Gaga evolves, and so should we. She is a grown-up woman now, in the middle of another phase in here life and career. AND she all shares it with us! She taught us about creative freedom. And of course, you can't like everything she does, that isn't the point of this. I hope everybody feels the freedom to speak out loud and to share their opinion, even if its negative. I don't like everything she does or makes, but that isn't necessary: we have all different tastes and to discuss them is fine. Don't attack others if you don't share the same opinion. You can say whatever you wanna say about Gaga, but please... do it with RESPECT... AND don't go to far! In the last couples of weeks I've seen so much hate and shade towards Gaga, most notable during the release of the 'Million Reasons" Music Video. She doesn't deserve this! After all she has done for ME, YOU, US! Amen.

KinneyUnderYou 0
I want to cry. This is the most beautiful post I've read in ages. @Unites Thank you so much for taking your time to type this. It means a lot to me. I will forever support Lady Gaga. I can really understand her pain, because I am in pain myself. I wake up everyday wishing I could stop breathing. I wake up realizing that life is supposed to be about ups and downs, but it is very tiring. We all have our problems, but she kept writing music for us. I love her so much. Thank you so much. Don't feel forced to "like" something you actually don't like. And that is something Gaga said during a recent interview too. It isn't bad. But if you do, treat her with respect and don't shade her. She's a pop star, not your mom. And even your mom would deserve the critica if she did something wrong.

Not The Real Gaga 7,512
I am sorry, guys. But if you think this is ONLY about the negative comments on the Million Reasons Video, you are COMPLETELY wrong and missed my point. I don't talk about the fans who don't like that particular music video and who are still here, loving and respecting Gaga. My entire post is about the ones who have put her aside in the last couple of years. The former fan, who can't accept new things. The fan who forget who she is and what she did and still does for us. AND on top of that, I spread my message that having a negative opinion is fine... Don't understand why some of you guys think I attack some fans because they don't love Joanne... Let Joanne be a lesson, Little Monsters shouldn't think of Gaga as their mother or something. She's a pop star and you're a fan, as much as you love her and own her much you mustn't live for her this way I want to say nice words but it's hard sometimes around here. KleinGa 18,177
Its a beautiful song and admirable effort to share her personal lives with us. I love that she wants to do that. BUT Its a horribly made, lazy, terrible, uninspired music video that no one even fully understands. A for Effort F for execution
