jereve 1,627
So, I have recently just got on board with Little Mix and slowly digging their vibe. I seriously am obsessed with their vocal control when doing live performances. (although im skeptic if they lipsync during song breakdowns) Nevertheless, its been a while since a girl group has ever been respected and are musically iconic. And no, Fifth Harmony is just one of those flop pop girl group. I love Little Mix but the problem is that their songs are really generic and basic. They are vocally equipped and physically gorgeous. The only thing missing is GOOD MUSIC. Like I said when I first hear them live... they remind me of Spice Girls and Destiny's Child. Little Mix has the potential to be an ICONIC GIRL BAND if only they can write better songs with better lyrics and mature songs that can make them stand out!! I'm rooting for these girls to improve on their music and not compete with the other girl band that's sweeping the mainstream media. IM CROSSING MY FINGERS FOR MA BITCHUS! JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Well I disagree with you about 5H. I think they are pretty good live and have a chance at being Iconic. They have had two of the biggest songs in the last 5 years. But on topic. I love Little Mix. Even if I hate the name of the group which quite frankly turned me off from listening to anything from them. But I couldn't resist Black Magic and I am currently bopping to Shout Out To My Ex. Which I also love. I think they are finding a sound that works for them and I really think they can be even bigger than they are now. I listened to there older stuff like DNA and while it's good it just seems like left over Destiny's Child records. I like their new stuff much more. I like Little Mix more cuz they are involve with the content of their songs meaning they actually co-write or write their own songs. I really like their old stuff better such as Salute, Wings, and Shout out to my ex but I know they can do better. They have powerful voices that resonates Destiny's Child but on their own pretty way. I agree with all of that. I don't like their old songs as much, I just find them to be too close to DC's sound. I like the new sound much more. It really more like the Gogo's of the. 80's and Spice Girls of the 90's. It's this pop rock that is missing from girl groups for a while now. It's a great sound. I hope they continue growing and experimenting with different sounds. I am tired of the same R&B sound from every girl group that has come out after DC.
