It's an emotional downtempo about the struggles of life after all I think it's a cute video and it connects really well with the overall message of the album. She's mentioned before how she feels disconnected due to her fame and how she's missing normal human interaction with people, so it makes perfect sense that she's trying to get back to her roots (family, friends, faith, all of which appear in the video). She just wants to find her natural self, stripped of all the negativity and burdens that fame might put on her. I like how this is very obvious from the video, without the need to use crazy symbolism and over the top imagery (I know that's what made her famous and I do love it, but it doesn't hurt to try and change a bit sometimes). It has a nice clear message which is super coherent to the album, she looks perfect and the video fits the song, I honestly don't know what you guys were expecting. That can be expressed visually, beautifully, soulfully, thoughtfully, and artistically in so many better EMOTIONALLY ENGAGING ways. I stopped reading after that. She moved away from the crazyga and all that for a reason....not a million, but one. She wants to prove to people she isnt' this gimmick and can sing and wants the focus to be on her voice. That is what this era is ALL about, and it will continue to be like this I am sure.....if you don't like it, leave - goodbye - you're not a real fan. You think David Bowie had hit album after hit album that only focused on crazybowie - nope it was just like her. The crazyga will be back, she basically has confirmed this time and time again. Just wait - the popqueen will be back, let her do this and really solidify her icon status. Also, all of you should listen to Madonna's woman of the year speech - you're proving her right. So please all bug off and let this god damn woman live.

You guys are focusing on the recycled footage, when you seem to be forgetting why she used it in the first place! She set it up so that her fans would be helping her get through this tough time. You can obviously see through her various expressions that she isn't all too thrilled with dancing/singing in front of that white screen, those are the hints of emotion from the video. Not The Real Gaga 7,483
My mom LOVES it. She said: "It's perfectly fitting in her new style. With ARTPOP, she did a great pop show during the tour. I expect a tour like this video now, something like Ellie Goulding did. Just singing, just the music. Just her performing. Million Reasons doesn't need more, nor the clip, nor the Joanne tour." I agree with her. The music video is fine. It could be better, though. But it's good enough! JackTheTripper 866
might aswell say it, if this is any indication of future i dont even feel like stanning. i am not even meltdowning, keep you christian propaganda, a make album about praying to jesus and pander to religious freaks, i have never sign up for that. Nor will i ever start eating this *hit. It feel so beneath everything i ever ever consider her to be, we are not talking about artist evolution anymore i dont know what this is or her future intentions but this is just soething id ont want to be part of i, on personal level, and talking about anything else about that video- ther is nothing. I am sorry, but not really- i am not complaining or talking **** about her, but i dont really see anything appealing for me here, and i am really being honest here. and sad, more than anything -sad. Thrasher 22,980
I don't wanna say I'm disappointed because i need more views to definitely shape my opinion. I'm another one who expected something similar to AMAs/X Factor but ok, just our thoughts. The fact is that the video seems to lack a proper final, the idea was not bad but it was organized awfully. It starts with those cars arriving, then we don't see them anymore and they reappear almost at the end? And I honestly haven't understood anything about that necklace gift. Could someone explain the plot to me? Thank you “Come over, when you’re sober”

Most of us are all still here for Gaga. So they're entitled to their opinion about the video, but I'm not about what I feel about the video/how I think some people are reacting? I've seen in this thread, and some others about blatant hate towards the video. It's one thing to critique it, and another to just completely trash on her and this era.
