Do you guys think Katy perry will have a successful comeback( or whatever you wanna call it KP5)? i mean its been a long time since "Prism"...i'm actually really curious to know what she's gonna bring to the table...will she follow trends ??or take a risk?

Honestly, I think she'll have a "come back". People generally seem to like her, and she's not really a controversial artist. She does what she does, and it works for her.

Madonna took like 6, and they just considered it a new Madonna album. I don't get the concept of a comeback anymore

Hard to tell. She's in a very weird place--still big but not that relevant. She will either stick to her old style (which began to underperform with BD) and get criticized for i) not evolving and/or ii) working with Dr Puke, or she will take a risk and release mature songs like Rise and ironically underperform instead

if katy had stated "yes i am putting music on hold for a while", i'd agree

but ARTPOP was supposed to be a "comeback" and then Joanne was also meant to be a "comeback" even though we had C2C, AHS etc etc

I have a feeling she's going to release a hugely impactful album and she'll repeak from Teenage Dream. 

She does take longer breaks than most stars but this is the longest she's been. she's gonna release this generation's Thriller

She'll do decent. I'm expecting 2-3 top 10 hits.  And the album selling similarly to Joanne

The true comebacks were Mariah and Madonna in 2005 and Britney in 2008. Katy didn't flop or leave for many years to call it a comeback.
