What do you think PI video was about?

I always thought that obviously the song is about a love affair which actually wasn't one.

And the video uses performance as a metaphor for love: she is in the middle of nowhere when she starts singing and then all these stands and people and a band appear, and then it the end it all fades away and she realises it was all just a 'perfect illusion' just as her love affair was.

How do you interpret it?

EDIT: I read PI as a whole lol ok the video I think is about like a failed love maybe how fast things were and how she almost felt a little high to it but in the end it all came crashing down on ha. Fake fans too the ones who left ha during ARTPOP. I don't really know how to explain this I actually think about this since I watch the video all the time it's like.....

Well with MR dropping and being connected My original theory of her breaking up with her lover and then escaping into the desert to get some sanity and peace (which goes the opposite as she breaks down) has seemingly been fulfilled.

PI: She had a lot of fans, support and acclaim. She doesn't anymore. Fame was all she wanted but she got blinded by the bling and realised that it wasn't for who she really is, it was a perfect illusion.

MR: She is now alone and is asking herself why keep going in the industry If nobody believes in her. I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away...

The video is just a more visual way to add a new dimension to the song, make it about something else than "I thought he liked me but not really"

i'd say it's about her dreams and career, an incredibly rapid ride to the top that was suddenly snatched from her and left behind those she thought loved her :classy:

I think it's about a failed relationship and how high you can get off of someone but then they just leave you stranded. Think, I knew you were trouble by Taylor Swift.

And now million reasons will be about her still trying to cling on to that relationship but she won't be able to because there's no reason for her to love someone who can't reciprocate the feelings.

you could see it as a simple performance or you could see it as a metaphor of what happened during ARTPOP

Its about the fame. Gaga's been saying that she wrote it about social media, because she wants to be as relatable to today's society. Fame isnt really a relatable subject cuz, you know, almost no one is as famous as gaga is, but I think thats the true subject of the song/video. Its about how her life is a constant rave but truly, shes all by herself. The people who love her, dance around with her, scream with her, they're just an illusion of what gaga perceived as perfection. Thats what she wanted. But now that she has it, she realises how isolating fame can be.  For all of yall who wanted The Fame Monster 2.0, well here it is, a perfect illusion indeed.

I'm the b*tch with the sauce, apparently

It really saddens me that so many people only loved her for the hit songs and the "quirky" outfits. Love shouldn't be conditional especially when she's loved us as if we were her own. It must have been a huge devestating blow to realize that SOME of the "monsters" you so lovingly "raised" in a way and who you showed nothing but unconditional love to could turn and abandon you like that. But she doesn't need to worry. She still has monsters who proudly display their gaga/monster tattoos and who love her just as much now as 8 years ago.

She taught them that DNA doesn't make a family and that being called family is a privilege that's earned by always being there when someone needs you the most. There are still monsters who love their monster family and will always be there when **** gets real because you don't turn your back on family. Although she doesn't say it as much, those monsters are the ones that she loves more than we could ever understand. Those are the monsters that gave her a million reasons to stay and those are the monsters that she'll protect until her last breath. "What you and I have little monsters has no end. It's eternal"

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
