Impostor 4,114
It is well known that since Judas came out, Gaga's chart performance has never been the same... She never made another #1 and people started to dislike her for no reason. The main disasters after the Judas release were: - The original The Edge of Glory video was forever lost - You and I video flopped - Marry The Night song and video flopped - Madonna's comeback flopped - Venus single was cancelled - Do What U Want video was never released - G.U.Y flopped hard - Perfect Illusion flopped hard - A-YO single was cancelled - Million Reasons video is being delayed - John Wayne could be a single Do you guys think Gaga should finally record a song called Jesus Christ, so the Judas curse can vanish away? Stephen 30,431
No. These are the reasons - BTW was very gay and polarizing for people - Judas furthered that - She wanted to look "ugly" a lot during BTW, again off putting - ARTPOP took too long to come out (not her fault but still) - ARTPOP underperformed because of lack of management + TBH (trying not to be delusional) the album could have been better if she wasn't high af the whole time making it. Honest moments like Dope and Gypsy were the highlights imo - Joanne took too long. But tbh she's never recovered from the growing "uncool" thing that started in 2011. Now she's just being overshadowed by younger artists that are idolized by 14 year olds on twitter (not naming names).

DontDoubtDavid 1,194
I have always believed Judas was the beginning of her decent. Although the song BTW was polarizing, it was still a big step forward and showed Gaga as being a risk taker. However, Judas becoming the next single just seemed to me as her being to try-hard shocking. I love when something is shocking because it is new and unique, but the whole setup of Judas being released, especially around Easter, just felt like she ran out of ideas to shock, and people noticed and it gave them a sour taste. The last point is so true though The younger generation never witnessed or can remember Gaga when she first came out.

Lord Temptation 11,209
Gaga said in 2011 that she wanted to create something that would make most of her fans turn their back on her. So maybe Judas was act of self-sabotage?

Especially when she decides to hibernate for album making and doesn't want to be featured in other artist's songs. If you get out of public's eyes they're gonna move on Gaga x JeffHardy x BillMaher
