Other than that just the occasional raised larynx and such, but literally no vocalist is perfect, and if there's one (mainstream) artist who was close to being perfect, it was Whitney . I've definitely heard otherwise, it goes both ways. This is just my general understanding of things based off of research I've done, my own technique I practice, and being a casual fan of Whitney.
