Perfect illusion is Gaga's worst first single

Flat out. The radio hated the song, 5the public hated the song, the fans hated the song. Why on earth did she and the label picked that?

It's actually a very good song. From what I've seen, the only people who hated it were Top40 pop music stans and their families. But you certainly tried it with your wrong opinion

Well if I had to rank her lead singles, I would say it's her second last worst lead single. But that doesn't mean I hate it. I effin love it. It's just that her other lead singles were better. Yeah sure PI wasn't loved by the GP but I don't think its a bad song. I really hated it when it first came out and was so disappointed but now I get this type of "rush and adrenaline" when I listen to it and it's my fav track on Joanne

I feel like if she pushed it a little more and gave it a "more extravagant" visual( I love the visual I'm probably the reason it's at 60m ) maybe just maybe it could've been a hit but  think Gaga didnt really care that much about PI  and the fans who don't like it end up liking it later like round about now is the time the rest can seethe

It's an amazing song. Stop. It crushes everything with its realness. Its multiple meanings are deeper than the deepest vagina out there. Its guitars give life to people, even if they don't realize it. The raw rage that comes out of it tears apart every single piece of cheesiness and emptiness of pop music these few past years. If the people and radio didn't like it, they can still be saved.

I think the problem is that Perfect Illusion is a grower -- I used to think it was the worst song on Joanne, and now I adore it and listen to it constantly -- and she needed an instant f*cking bop for a first single.

It's obvious the label chose it because it's the most dance-y track on the album, and I also feel like they probably wanted to try to capitalize on her break-up.
