I feel like it's a success because it's not a flop  Not necessarily because it's "successful". Sales wise she's performed a lot better than I thought she would (after she dropped PI. Before she dropped PI, I thought she would come back with a dance hit and have a huge successful comeback era). However, even with it's strong/decent sales, it doesn't really have impact on pop culture nor is really getting across to people. She may be selling well but the public's engagement with her is no longer that strong. CPK views were okay, didn't have the most viewed performance at AMAs or VSFS, IG followers/likes, retweets, etc

But I do think they're going more for a longevity route instead of a front-loaded BTW roll out. We'll see how it pans out. It'll probably "age" like C2C

not huge success but it is a success

i mean she got a top 15 song on Billboard that charted #1 in over 60 countries on iTunes

an album that went #1

a promo single that went #1 on iTunes then released as single and got back into the top 5

artistically it wasn't that good , country vibes are not my cup of tea tho'

This summarizes all the shallow issues y'all have with Joanne. Not your cuppa tea =/= "artistically not good". Praying for y'all tho

Success for her diminished status. She has good sales and still achieved a #1 so :laughga:

Idk. It's selling well i guess for 2016 standards but there have been no hits, theatrics, cool videos, iconic looks, and streaming hasn't been that great. It's doing alright for the type of album that it is, but still not very gp friendly or pop sounding. It also hasn't really had an impact in the music world or on the public. And she is lucky to have gotten that number 1 album cause if she was competing with Katy, Lorde, Taylor or whoever else is about to have their albums drop, it would have charted lower

Obviously it's a success. It's almost gold in US. If someone calls Joanne a flop, is automatically calling Ariana's and Sia's album flop too.
