This, basically. I understand the author's points of comparison, and it's an interesting analysis, but Gaga is more studied and calculating while Trump just runs his mouth willy-nilly, damn the consequences.

I can vaguely see what the author is gunning for, but it's such an obtuse comparison.

I mean, from a purely surface level- one creates hatemongers, and the other is totally against that.

In a sensational/headline-culture context, this is a disturbing normalization of a man who is literally bringing this country back to the dark ages.
