POP2 4,206
Hey guys, I'm feeling a lot of confidence tonight and thought I would use that as an excuse to show you my poem I wrote awhile ago. It was really hard to write, however, it's something I am super passionate about. I know it might make some of you angry... I get that. (Sorry if it's in the wrong category). Let me know what you think Welcome to the Ghetto Burn the Flag, Watch it sizzle The Nation Cries, Oh we’re so little The stars will shatter, The stripes will break The nation’s a sham and d*mn so fake “Revolution” They scream; They break the peace they damage windows, they own this street “F*ck the system” the chants will echo Our country hates them: Welcome to the ghetto ___________ You call them thugs, the modern “N” You twist their stories on cnn You spit in their faces and call them the bother When our role in history was nothing but slaughter You point your finger ‘cause you’re in command make them the enemy in their own land _____________ Do you see why they’re angry? Why they burn the flag? Mistreated. Misguided. Viewed like the plague. They’re furious, They’re fuming They only want change But with change comes violence And with violence comes blame _____________ Their “Protection” kills their children and watches them suffer While fabricating a narrative to create a cover They bleed and bleed from the one’s in charge The number of “accidents” is getting quite large It’s obvious their lives mean nothing to you When “Black” turns to “All” and all turns to “Blue”
