With accusations from the director, himself, that Marlon Brando raped his co-star, people are furious!

Marlon Brando is one of the most iconic actor's since film began.

And one of the first to openly admit he was bisexual. (in a 1976 interview)

So does this totally destroy Marlon Brando's iconic reputation?

It's been known about the rape scene since 2007 tho.

well, it obviously wasn't known to this extent with it all over the news and celebs tweeting their disgust. So ya, some people knew, but not enough to have potentially ruined his name

But I thought director manipulated both the actors? Didn't Marlon also said he felt victimized and didn't know some of the stuff done in that movie

"I think Bertolucci is over-rated and he never really made anything after Last Tango that had the same impact.

"He was fat and sweaty and very manipulative, both of Marlon and myself, and would do certain things to get a reaction from me. Some mornings on set he would be very nice and say hello and on other days, he wouldn't say anything at all.

"I was too young to know better. Marlon later said that he felt manipulated, and he was Marlon Brando, so you can imagine how I felt. People thought I was like the girl in the movie, but that wasn't me.

She was surprised with the idea and went along with it, she was not raped. And she didn't blame Marlon one bit.

Hmmm....let me guess. I think performing a forced sexuality act without their consent with a stick of butter sounds pretty much like rape to me. Jeez the ignorance!!!

But they did? The director legitimately called for a rape scene with an actress that didn't consent to it and wasn't  mentioned anywhere in her contract... and the director even admitted it

I don't believe any blame has been passed to Marlon though, it seems the director pulled the wool over both of their eyes

Nah it was more of the director than Marlon, but I can see why people can be disappointed with him. :crossed:

Delusional indeed. She wasn't raped. PERIOD. They didn't penetrate her with a butter stick or anyhing. They are actors not p0rn actors.

They did surprise her with the scene, since it was supposed to be a sex scene instead of a rape scene, but there was no sex....
