I actually think there are many female actresses that were capable of conveying the true horror of a raped girl on-screen without having to be sexually harassed in order to achieve that result. This just shows how weak of a director HE was, and instead of him looking into his weak skills he wanted to point fingers at her not being able to portray the raped girl good enough unless she was assaulted and scared for real... pathetic and gross. Still gross and still unjustifiable. not really sure, the article does not explain it in detail, from what I understand the unexpected part that they didn't tell her about was the scene when Brando's character suggests the butter that he would use to later rape her, not the actual touching of her body.
