ARTPOP remains as the most genius & timeless album she has produced so far.

Welcome!  It's great to know this fanbase is getting bigger and bigger with each album. Trust me: Gaga is the best artist to stan for you'll ever find. Paper Gangsta and Teeth are probably my favourite of TF and TFM, tho. Guess we have a different taste :D

Btw, have you watched all her videos now that you're a monster? If so, what are your favourite videos? It's just interesting to know what a brand new fan thinks :D

Hey guys, new member here, and in the last couple of weeks I've transformed into a committed Gaga fan! This was off the back of Joanne and I want to share my thoughts on her discography, having listened to it all sooo many times in the last week

So, I have always liked Gaga's music; I was obsessed with The Edge of Glory and Applause and DWUW to an extent when they came out, but never made the transition to true fandom/listened to an entire album.

At uni, I made a friend who was super into Gaga, who told me to listen to PI. Wasn't exactly a fan at first but it grew on me when I heard it again at his party, and then I was obsessed! I perched Joanne when it came out. It took me a while to listen to the whole thing and many of them were growers, but I ended up loving it and its diversity  and simplicity as an album so much, so I decided to listen to her previous albums and I'll now summarize my thoughts:

The Fame

The Fame was the first thing I listened to after Joanne, and initially found it a bit basic and samey. However, the tunes grew on me; of course, the singles from The Fame are all iconic, but Nothing Else I Can Say, Beautiful Dirty Rich, The Fame, Money Honey and Starstruck are all great songs. My favourite from this album has to be Just Dance (just an iconic 21st C song and will never get old) - least favourite is Paper Gangster: so dull.

The Fame Monster

The new tracks on The Fame Monster are honestly such an incredible concentration of good songs! I literally love all of them bar Teeth, which I really don't like. What I love about The Fame Monster is how it is kind of inverse to The Fame; it's much darker, I guess about how Fame can pervert people, and explores a wider range of sounds and emotions. Favourite: Alejandro (again, such a timeless song). Least favourite: Teeth.

Born This Way

Born This Way was also a grower for me. The singles on BTW are again sooo strong, but the other songs were quite divisive. Initially I found them a bit samey: all very loud kind of 80s empowering tracks, however they've all really grown on me, and Born This Way and The Edge of Glory remain so powerful. My favourite non-singles are Hair, Highway Unicorn, Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel and The Queen. Favourite: The Edge of Glory. Least favourite: Bloody Mary.

ARTPOP

Again, wasn't sure of this initially, but ohmygod I LOVE it now. So many unique songs, that are a little bit different, but they are all so damn catchy and easy to listen to (bar #5). Love this album so much, the vast majority of the songs are fire.

Joanne

Love this album because of how different every song is. No song on this album is like anything she's ever done before, and they're beautiful cos they're persoal and each song holds a message we can relate to. This, like every other Gaga album is a grower, but probably even more so. My favourites from this album are Diamond Heart, A-Yo, Joanne, DIC, PI and Angel Down (both) and lowkey MR, CTM, HG and JAD. JW is overrated :laughga:. Favourite: Perfect Illusion. Least favourite: Grigio Girls.

My favourite I think is ARTPOP; utter genius. I am so happy I have joined the cult/tribe lmao. Such an amazing, inspirational, talented, humourous woman, who has produced so much amazing music!

Even if no one responds, I'm glad I got a chance to summarize my thoughts as a new fan.

*hugs* welcome to the family Hun. Haha you have to get an honorary "little monster"tattoo now lol jk. We'll always be little monsters to gaga no matter how old we get just as she'll always be mama monster no matter how old she gets. So many have said that she's outgrown that but it's just not true. She has it permanently tattooed on her body for God sakes. It's something she takes very seriously. "Hair" will always be near and dear to my heart. I'd

say it's in my top 5 fave gaga songs. It's one of the few songs that makes me cry because I can relate to every word of it. It was like she had read my diary when she wrote that. I went to catholic school and we had to wear uniforms. I refused to wear the school issued white socks and wore neon purple socks instead. Sister Josephine got so tired of giving me detention for not wearing my full uniform she finally just asked me "why won't you wear the socks? Why must you make things so hard on yourself"? To everyone else they were just socks but to me they were my identity. They were the one thing I could change to stand out.

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you
