I don't think it'd fare well in a foreign market. I think maybe as a dual single, such as LoveGaame/Eh,eh, with Diamond heart being an American single and another song released worldwide.

No song Gaga has put out has ever fared well in ANY market since Applause :ladyhaha:

Are monsters STILL thinking about chart success?? She hasn't had a hit in 4 years, she sound just promote the best songs at this point she's no longer a chart-topper, let it go

While I am not a little chartster, I am decidely playing the devil's advocate.

I quite frankly think though, Diamond Heart, while a great song, isn't the best from Joanne. There's that and I feel like releasing an American Pride song released at this time is an awful idea, is it not?

I mean like, it's a good song, however, it does have that tinge of American pride, which Gaga has mostly lost in half of America.

It's not a good song to release, as Gaga probably doesn't have any American pride right now, and it really isn't her best song.

Lol, Perfect illusion pretty much flopped, A-YO was dead before it even started, and after several TV performance of MR (which I'm already getting sick of), it's still charting poorly.

Joanne is not going to have a smash single. Gaga doesn't have the star power anymore to launch songs that aren't what's being played on the radio into the top 5. Not gonna happen. The public is here for Close and dont Let me Down, not John Wayne or MR

Love how you still ignore the second half of my post like you did in political threads.

Though I should've mentioned, I don't think Gaga could personally release Diamond Heart at this moment in time.

Definitely, it screams Super Bowl and around that time is when it should be launched.

Followed by Dancin' in Circles in late Spring/early summer, for a summer smash.

Then whatever else, I'll be good just as long as these 2 are released.

I didn't ignore it?

Im just asking why tf you would care about chart success? How about she promote the best songs on the album and give us great music videos? Joanne isn't a album for the charts, who cares if it plays well with the American public?

You think a song about female masturbation is going to be a hot summer smash?

MESS! GUY/power bottoming messy tease all over again! :sharon:

When will little monsters realize no one wants to hear Gaga sing about raunchy sex stuff soooo blatantly.... the GP is here for cute catchy mindless songs like Closer, not an analog folksy album by Lady Gaga :ladyhaha:

The Joanne era is not meant for the charts people!

MR is doing decent without any radio play though.

Only AYO and Joanne/John Wayne need to be singles tbh. If PI didn't ruin the era I would've said:

AYO (Super Bowl promo and interviews)

Million Reasons

Diamond Heart

John Wayne

Dancin' In Circles

Joanne

like PI didn't even give a decent video. Atleast Judas, MTN and even GUY have pretty strong videos to help us deal with them flopping.

You're just paying attention to chart thing.

I'm saying Diamond Heart as a single choice wouldn't set well with Gaga.

But let's talk about charts, honestly.

Gaga seems to have given Interscope more influence on her single choices and we have another second single switch on our hands. While Gaga herself doesn't care about charts, someone close to her or maybe interscope higher ups are changing decisions and are influencing her to do the same.

If she honestly didn't care about charts we'd still have A-yo as a single would we not?

Like I said, I'm playing devil's advocate and said what honestly came to my mind.

Not that I don't like Diamond Heart, however it's not the best from her or Joanne.

However it's one of the last few single-like songs left from the album.

People seem to forget that Blurred Lines, Anaconda, S&M, and far worse have been singles/hits.

I think Gaga can get away with a fun masturbation song. I mean she got away with LoveGame and look at those lyrics.

Plus it'd be almost impossible for a single launched at the Super Bowl not to go at least top 20.

People it's 2016, sex, drugs, and violence can survive on Radio now.
