Quark 7,098
o<(0_0)>o Gaga scaled things a bit down to what is classical with Joanne. She explored organic and traditional sounds like never before. However, there is still some experimentation in Joanne. To start A-Yo is a mix of country and electronic, set to a hip hop beat. Dancing In Circles provides a tropical sound with a Bollywood twist. Perfect Illusion gives us that classic Gaga feel with an indie and 80s disco rock sound. John Wayne provides an alternative rock sound with modern electronic vocal tricks. And Angel Down is a ballad with ambient elements. So which song in Joanne do you think is the most experimental? MonsterPaws 2,739
For Gaga? Most of the songs except for Just Another Day and Million Reasons. Music in general? None of them really stood out to me except for Hey Girl? I don't know though.

Mixing genres and different sounds/instrumenrstion is commonplace in songs now. Experimental music is more a specific sound and ambiance, which none of the songs on Joanne really fit into. A lot of them could fit under Indy and alternative though. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. I definitely see what you are saying but to me, doing unique combinations of sounds and genres is also experimental. Is not experimental anymore when your mix of sounds and genres have already been done before. But Joanne has a very unique combination of sounds and interesting song structures.
