She definitely had better MR performances than that one, BUT she still didn't make any mistakes and the voice was on point, the chorus and the bridge was altered and that's all. You can say that you don't like the performance when compared to previous ones, but it's not a "bad performance" by any means..

Huffington Post already has an article out about Gagas Million Reasons performance. :toofunny:

https://www.google.com/amp/m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_58405025e4b0c68e047f4b58/amp?client=safari

"Dressed in an intricate sheer gown with red rose overlays, Gaga opened her performance at the event in Paris Wednesday night with the hit song “Million Reasons.” She’s one the the few singers who can deliver a live performance that rivals a recording, but her rendition on the runway left much to be desired vocally."

Quite unfair when this performance is still miles better when compared to previous years performances.

It quite fair considering it was the worst performance vocally she's had the entire era, and probably for the past few years of we're counting c2c :awkney:

Mess at the fans who think Gaga can do no wrong, it was pitchy and underwhelming

Do you judge an Olympic tennis player by the standards of an amateur, of course they're good compared to amateurs, even on their worst days. And yet for them, relative to their typical days, their performances on their worst days are bad.

In other words, they, quite sensibly, put the performance into the context of her other performances and not those of other artists. Something they make clear at the start.

It's still not completely fair as casual readers will see this as an article suggesting that she's losing her voice, etc. Which is kind of how the whole 'ARTPOP is a flop' mentality started, from media articles influenced by stans and haters bashing everything she does. All in all it wasn't her best performance but it isn't garbage like some people are making it out to be

I listened to that performance for 5 times to see what was less satisfying in comparison with other Million Reasons performances and I realised that the biggest factor is how she wasn't on sync with the instrumental. I'm not sure what caused that because that's a problem only Rihanna usually has, never Gaga, so I'm guessing she's either too nervous, which is again, unusual considering she performed at the Superbowl, Grammys, Oscars which are way bigger shows or didn't have time to rehearse properly for that performance considering she's preparing her halftime show, or it could be a technical problem within her earpiece.

The other thing that would've improved the performance which is not her fault is the volume of the mic, I find the instrumental way louder than the vocals, so hopefully the VEVO performance will fix that because remember the VEVO Dive Bar videos are way better in terms of audio than the livestream's. But taking into account all these, I think she needs more practice because her idea of changing the melodies a bit is actually fresh and interesting. It just needs polishing.

The media is so ruthless when it comes to her.. that performance vocally was astounding and truly heart wrenching even compared with past performances of the song.

If any other singer had done that they would have praised them to heaven and back I'm so tired of this.

This 100%. Its her name that bring in bad reviews, not her music or performances. If Katy released Joanne and slayed VS perfromance like gaga did, shed be "phenomenal"

Not her strongest but not her worst. I'd give that to the Perfect Illusion acoustic she did during some radio interview.(Ryan Seacrests show I think)

Those of you not hearing her pitchiness :awkney:

It's not just out of sync

The pitchiness is deliberate I think. It's meant to be different from the studio version.

Also the 'missing lyrics' are also intentional, some call it a flaw but guys? :emma:

I doubt it. She sounds off-key in a bad way at certain points of the song.

It's fine though. She's human, she can't always turn out a flawless performance. I'm sure she'll smash the X Factor this weekend.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!
