It doesn't do any mixing on your end,  unlike Netflix for example that has access to speech and backing tracks separately and delivers them unmixed to your device that then is mixed on your device. It is basically impossible for it to play you one of the "stems" since your device receives the track already mixed.

So basically, you have the file that it is playing somewhere on your device and it is playing that.
