christinahoney 383
Am I the only one who hasn't enjoyed her music since the first album? I love how "real" it was, singing about raw, honest and relateable subjects. Now it's just...you know...just more pretty love music.
Dutch 91,381
I love her voice so much. I was waiting for this album, I was so happy when she announced it.

I'd say her most 'honest' is definitely her second album 'A Curious Thing' which is her most personal, especially No Roots, What Happiness Means to Me and Give it all Up. In this album she also decided to share her vision of fame in 'Ordany Life' and 'This Pretty Face'. On her third album 'Life in a Beautiful Life' she also talked about serious topics like 'Human Spirit' and Across The Nile'. But there's also one of her most personal song ever 'Left That Body Long Ago', in which she talks about her grandmother who died of Alzheimer. There's definitely more depth than only 'love songs' in her two other albums, she just turned some of her songs in a way to be interpreted in different ways actually

I'm just personally drawn to music about "life" so songs like this don't do anything for me. I guess it's because her first hit was so amazing, haha.
