She's been a massive hypocrite since day 1 - all humans are and all humans change. Still love her - she just believes and says whatever she feels in the current moment.

There it is. The most thing that struck me about this interview is how badly she wanted The Fame, and now she simply hates it. I mean, we all go through similar things, but this is just one of the saddest interviews I have ever seen. "I miss people," she says. What can I say, as a "fan" who became one through her fame and nothing more? I'm sorry that I'm going to sound harsh, but after watching this interview I think that she can only be free when she dies. What a sad interview...

love this interview, i cant lie, i do eyeroll at the heteronormative talk

Came here to say this.  Glad I'm not the only one.  I'm a fan of her, as I always say on here, because of her radical feminism/presentation of the self/queerness (and she still is in some ways perhaps) but I've noticed a lot of heteronormativity this era and on Joanne (i.e., John Wayne).  I guess we are just experiencing another side of the art.

I don't care to stalk her personal life at all and would never bother her at her properties ---would likely say hello and freak out if I met her randomly--but I mainly just really value her artistic contributions to identity issues, politics, love, etc. It seems like that radicalism all fades with aging, though and life is one day at a time.

What the **** is up with American interviews/performances/etc. constantly being geo-blocked?

Like, what's the point?? :grr:

EDIT: My Canadian self finally got to watch it through a proxy. It was such a cute interview and I honestly can't believe how so many of you had meltdowns over the preview :rip:

I'm in canada too and i can't watch it

Oh oh. I didn't like what she said last. "You have to play an arena like you play a dive bar" :lolly:

I guess no strong visuals for the Superbowl. :air:

It made me sad when she laughed at Volantis. She acts like her past was a huge laughable joke and she's a "real" artist now. I don't know what to think anymore

Unpopular opinion but I actually find the change in Gaga exciting. She's entering a whole new era in life. Don't be afraid of change, embrace it!

Kermit the frog

I think she just says what makes her commercially appealing at the moment, not giving two fu*cks that her fans have a true cognitive discrepancy as to who she really is.

No matter how you defend it, this IS contradictory. She could've worded it the way it wouldn't seem so but she was clear - Gaga was just a persona, like Ziggy Stardust, except the fact that with Bowie, it wasn't his whole career and it was done in jest. Here, the story is very different.
