"Gaga had trouble washing off the persona she created"

So she basically once again admits that "Lady Gaga" wasn't the real her. :saladga:

What a lovely interview. It's sad to see her cry, but it shows that she's human, I think it's good people get to see what's behind the make up and under the pink hat. Look what this interview has done for the album, it's given it a huge boost, people do like Lady Gaga, she's just a little misunderstood sometimes.

I remember when people around her would say she was ALWAYS in character. This is nothing new, she would say it herself, "You'll never see me in flats and a pair of jeans". She created this larger-than-life persona and she was scared she'd let people down if she didn't keep it going all the time.

I am glad she's got rid of the need to please a fanbase that for the most part seems to have turned their back on her just because she may not wear a green wig in a video.

The "persona" represented a part of her, but it was never fully her. She is a complicated real human person who has different aspects in her personality. This fanbase needs to start recognizing that and stop picking on her really not contradictory statements.

It's weird the fact she feels chained by fame, while other celebrities just love that and try to become bigger and bigger..

I think at the time she just wanted to be the person she wanted to be.. She has always been herself, she has just changed (and some fans just don't want to deal with it)

I'm intrigued to see what the next album will be like; Gaga was and is a part of her but I think we just saw it more than we saw any other side of her in the earlier part of her career. With this album we're seeing a different side of her/of Gaga then we have done before, a more personal and "natural" side; she needed this album/era to have some breathing space and to chill for a bit.

So where will the next album take her? I'm so excited to see if we get her wild side back mixed with this chill homely side, will she finally perfect her yin and yang?!

Hold on!

"Washing off the persona".....but I thought she is her wigs and make up and clothes? Like I thought 'Born This Way' was a way to tell people that she was born loving her colorful wigs and her over-the-top theatrical performances? I thought this is who she is? What happened to Gaga = Stefani?

Anyway, I guess she really doesn't want to be famous anymore. I just want her to be happy tbh. She deserves it. She served us years of quality pop music and performances. She gotta take care of herself now.

THIS. People grow up and change, she probably used "Gaga" as a way to escape more personal battles and now that she's 30 she's suiting up her armor and tackling through those battles instead of suppressing them. Hopefully in time she will find inner peace, looks like she's not there yet, but she can't stop fighting for tranquility.

What's real anyway? I believe everyone has at least 4 separate auras. The one that is shown when we are in public, around friends, around family, and self. You mostly see the public aura as well as a bit of the friend sector. You don't see how she truly is around family or when she's alone. You can't judge her on things you can't see. Gaga is part of the public sector. It's blasphemous to even allude to the idea that she's fake or not "herself" as projected by any means.

What she said about love...damn, Taylor must have really hurt her.

Why would she talk so nice about him recently? And she also went to Chicago to see him?...

I honestly think that Gaga was very controlled at the beginning of her career image-wise. Like I think it was planned to make her seem so mysterious and dark & commercial and it was basically a persona that was invented to make her famous maybe by her former manager Troy.

But now, she wants to break out of that character cause she is tired of playing her - even if that character did have parts of her real self in it. She just wants to be as real and authentic as she can be, which means she's gonna be less Gaga and more Stefani.

At the end of October/beginning of November. She went on Cubs game with him(people saw him too) and his friends. Day after she and Taylor's friend went back to Cali.

And few sources said she went at this apartment after the game.
