She needs great hits and great videos. She doesen't offered this to the public since 2013. Look at Rihanna, she has brilliant songs like diamonds, it's a masterpiece. Also the video, it's pure art and so much better than for example Applause or G.U.Y videos which are just overloaded. The people were bored by Gaga, she should not be crazy at any price, she should be just very artistic. Gaga offers some very good music with Joanne, but the packaging is no longer as awesome as Lady Gaga in 2009/2010 ( Telephone, Bad Romance, Alejandro) or as Rihanna and Sia now. I do not mean the craziness, but the artistic output and authenticity. She lost the authenticity already 2011 in some parts. It was too much. Dancin' In Circles has good potential to be the next Uptown Funk/Crazy in Love - like hybrid. But she needs the fire again to be successful. Dancin In Circles, A-YO, Come To Mama, Million Reasons, Angel Down....they all has the potential to be big and it's very good quality music. But it needs a strong sake & the right artistic presentation. In my opinion the lagging began already in BTW era and Applause was not a good comeback single and not a good video. It was much too weak for the big comeback. Yes it sold solidly in the USA, but Gaga needed a Diamonds, Skyfall or Smooth Criminal to play at the top of the league. For singers I really love, I'm okay with studio videos and "less amazing" videos. I have different feelings about that. Since ARTPOP we're all anxious about her music videos and if it will happen at all, understandable, her **** was so tight from the beginning and then it seemed like a downfall of announcements and cancellations... I love ARTPOP but it was a damn mess. I'm longing for the time she'll do a crazy video full of different looks, setting and ambitious ideas and badass gimmicks again Gaga is truly an artist whose iconic mvs built huge part of her legend, from Paparazzi to GUY, so it's natural that we all want to feel that rush again <3 Then again, she gave so much idea-wise in a short amount of time, from the music videos to the award performances to the photoshoots or even her walking out of cars; that I would never love her less if she takes more time now, and give a little less or a little simpler Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

People have had Gaga on their lips since the Sound of Music tribute, and even more this time last year. Everyone was wanting new music. It's just the music for LG5 is so so so different than anything on the radio and people just aren't here for it. I'm just tired tbh of trying to make excuses for her. I love her as a person, an artist, but I can't describe to you the disappointment I felt when PI first released, and even more disappointed when she released the music video. I never thought in my mind I'd see Gaga so stripped down. I also don't think she's as happy as she claims to be. I agree with someone else's comment in this thread about how she turned to family and wrote this album when she was vulnerable going through a breakup. I just don't think it's realistic to expect this over the top avant garde music video for Million Reasons... or really any music video for this era tbh. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe it's me growing up, but I just don't find the need to get so invested in her life and sit there for hours watching interviews, music videos, and forcing myself to love an album I honestly wouldn't have even bothered listening to if it was any other artist.
