Yeah I was planning to get a Gaga tattoo this year or next year, but right now I'm not sure anymore, she distanced herself so much from us

The actual audacity of people telling us Gaga is happy now.  

If Gaga was happy she wouldn't make the saddest songs she is creating now or during the ARTPOP era. She isn't doing what she loves nor is she doing what we love. Gaga tries to do the best but she's doing the absolute worst. 

It is kinda obvious Gaga lied about a lot of things during the past 4 years, ever since the Born This Way Ball happened, everything is a mess. 

At some points I think Gaga regrets being a musician. I would have called her an artist during the Born This Way era, but don't tell me Perfect Illusion is something artistic when she told everyone it's about a sloppy Instagram filter that fakes the realness of a picture.  

She went downhill too quickly to build a good image for the GP. C2C didn't help, people forgot what Gaga was doing. She released a pop album in late 2013 and escalated from psycho performances with puke over her body into a woman with pubes on her hair prentending to be a second volume of Cher in a span of 5 months.

 She's sabotaging her own career, I will still support her, but this is just..  

I'm feeling genuinely attacked and I don't even know why.

i love the music, its probs my fave gaga album but I'm still disappointed.

we waited 3 years for a new POP album and she literally made us so anticipated for LG5 by posting pics with redone and stuff and elton john saying that it's back to the old stuff.

her outfits are boring, the album is way to short, the only video we have is atrocious. 

and the wait for lg6 is probably gonna be even longer than the wait for joanne.

idk how to feel.

ok, no hits from joanne, fine, no pop bangers... but at least give us some visuals!!!! The pi video was mediocre sorry not sorry, compared to her old videos it was boring and forgettable and annoying with all the flashing.

I seriously seriously think there was a great pop record in the mix late 2014- all of 2015, I think she was going to work with RedOne, DJWS. GM etc

 

& then timeline wise, her relationship with kinney was failing, and then suddenly, she lost who she was. It happens, you become a different person when your in love, theres so much dependency on that person, they are what makes you, you. & suddenly thats in jeopardy, her engagement ring is gone.

Come march 2016 when we are speculating their troubles, Mark comes on the scene. 

Gaga writes about family and 'my sisters pet horse' bullsh*t because when relationships fall apart we turn to family for support. Maybe she thought she owed it to them to do this album.

I can imagine working so closely with mark post breakup, they share so much in common musically, she probably had that fleeting rebound crush on him, but hes married, and that makes her feel worse.

She kind of clung to mark pre album etc, she talked about him like he was god, and i just think it came a bit off as pretentious.

 

TBH i dont think she knows what the f*ck she is even doing with this album. The timeline tells us her life got turned upside down and shes succumbed to the pressure of "you kinda need to put an album out soon gaga its been 3 years"

 

Yet her heart/mind was probably not in the right frame of mind for making an explosive pop album

Thats why we got an ultimate bipolar genre album....

I think sometimes us hardcore critics (we dont deserve to be stans for treating her like this) forget losing someone you love is probably the worst pain you can ever feel

It suddenly doesnt get easier even after 8 months....

honestly I am very happy w her and the era, I became a hardcore just like most of you all, but I'm happier and joyful about her right now than b4, and that's what makes her happy, so happy I am that way and anyway

The general public may have gained respect for her and maybe criticize her less after Oscars and Tony Bennet etc

 

But being respected and having hype/popularity are not the same thing. You can be liked but still not be what people are going crazy to see

 

Gaga still needed to put some effort into promotion and planning to do well which she didnt do much of

 

Amas and Karaoke are the only major promo we got this era and thats for a switched single that STILL has no music video

 

When an artist passes their phase of hype and extreme popularity releasing a song and having it blow up on its own usually doesnt happen anymore. You gotta try a little harder if u want success

I agree that there's a bunch of tea in this thread but you have to consider the fact that gaga was HUGE back in 2009/2010.  Trying to keep relevancy when you suddenly become so huge in such little time is difficult, and she could've flopped much worse than she has.  While I'm disappointed with this new era and the "spark" it lacks for me.  She's still relevant and will be for a long time, and I'm happy that she seems to be happy with what she's doing.
