It's very clear that Gaga has gone back to her roots - just her, her voice, instruments and her ideas - and the visual side of things are not as important to her anymore. She's moved past music videos now because she's already achieved the highest level of artistry and acclaim possible, and is more focused on fine tuning her amazing music and having her songs stand on their own.
