Are we on the verge of a less drastic version of the 2013 blackout again?

We all seen how the 2013 scenario ****ed everything up. The single change, the management mishap that ****ed the era over before album release. The uncertainty of the video, barely any promo after the album's first week. Everything coming to a stall and the era feeling dead.

 

I feel like we could be on the middle of the 2016 version of that mess, except not as bad.

• The single change due to short lived success: AYO -> MR

• The uncertainty of a video: despite the fact that one is impending, we are clueless  at least Gaga was spilling details about DWUW vid and we were getting BTS shots  

• Major promo which suddenly halts: The ARTPOP era album release got off to a great kickstart, an album release party which aired on major stations afterwards, H&M signing and the promo from an open top bus around NYC , iconic  , Graham Norton and XF in the week leading up to release, radio stations and Ellen, SNL, Alan Carr and the legendary AMA appearance etc, then all of a sudden everything halted and the era came to a standstill. This is mirrored alongside Joanne. Album release kicked off with her Dive Bar tour streamed live on Facebook to over 50k people. Signings in major stores and the amazon 1 day deal. Carpool Karaoke and the surprise appearance on Late Late show to perform and do a skit. Her EPIC SNL performances  then everything was silent until the cute AMA performance just gone by, and now here we are again until VS in Dec.

 

Clearly the election fiasco put a downer on her entire ethic. She tied Joanne promo in with Hillary promo (Come to Mama lyric vid, Angel Down live @ the rally), once Trump won she basically disappeared from promo and was quiet for over a week. Aside from the AMA performance and the upcoming VS show, we know nothing of her plans until SB in Feb. We've had no afternoon shows in US or UK, we've had no late night talk shows in the US/UK (well I mean we had a canceled Graham Norton and XF UK appearance but lemme not )

What are we thinking girls? Are we currently on that part of the era where we have no clue of what's happening or where Gaga is or what's upcoming?  I mean we have her VS performance being taped on 30th but then what? I want performances, queen! Remind me why I love you, remind the public you exist! Prove to us how much you love performing and connecting with fans through appearances  

I'm lowkey waiting for "the next few months will be the true beginning for Joanne" and then she drops a third single and hops on a tour before C3C, ASIB and LG6 in 2019  

I think what ****s me up the most is how telling the eventfulness of this era is when some hardcore Joanne stans are longing for EP rumors and hoping for new music after we were just served with some of her best music. Why the **** isn't she doing herself justice, why isn't she making this the best damn era she's ever done

Possibly. Would people even be bothered this time?  Last time it seemed such a sad thing because she was so closed to us and then just had her blackout. 

She's not half as close anymore and her public appearances usually involve the same dialogue so I just wouldn't be assed.

The thing is there's probably no reason why Gaga is having a blackout. Unless she's hiding a secret really well...

I agree, sadly. Even if that's not how she feels, its what she portrays. Even listening to her AUS radio talk yday everything was rehashed from release week interviews. (Talking about how Joanne wouldn't be on her phone if she had an extra day on earth etc)

Like come on sis, use your interviews to talk to us again, take questions and connect like you did in 2008-2013

Legit. It's part of the reason I feel the message of Joanne is so contrived.  

You don't even need to see her interviews anymore to know what she will discuss, it's a little robotic and lacks character. Funny because she says this is her most personal album yet but she was much more personable previously IMO.

At least ARTPOP had promo. But i agree, why is she letting this era tank? Where is that girl that said she lives for the applause and can't wait to get back to singing new tunes for us? Where are the performances, talkshows, videos? Remind the gp that you exist gaga and can still make great performances and bops. So far this era has made me wonder if it was gaga, or troy, behind her most creative and iconic performances, videos and costumes....

Gaga has already said that she is promoting this album different from the rest, and that she wants to promote the album for the next few years.
There were huge issues behind the scenes for ARTPOP.
She has promo lined up. The album has been out for a month.
i feel like this fanbase is really overreacting to Gaga not being as public this time.
