I am so glad that I got the chance to see her live with my dad. what a night!

I'm a bit pissed that she's not releasing a DVD, but it's Kate's choice so I'll respect it. It looked like such a visually stunning show, so theatrical and fun to see through photos (And a few leaked videos). It was filmed.. I think Kate's just insecure about her looks these days and doesn't want people to see her, which is a shame.

I'm not sure it's that but I think this could also be a factor considering the world we live in.

From what I have seen, Kate is very particular about her work, she even records her albums on different platforms to savour as much of it from compression as possible. She said in an interview last week (when asked about the DVD) that the feeling of watching something in the theater in comparison to watching a DVD is completely different and sometimes a lot is lost in that transfer.

She said she hasn't completely ruled it out but it's not on the cards yet. I really think if we get a DVD it'll be on the 10th anniversary of the tour.

I listened to her interview where she gave a longwinded explanation about how she wants people to just appreciate the audio and not worry about what the show looked like. But so much attention to detail was put into the show, it was a visual spectacle that was filmed for the intention of being released. And I've read things that have implied Kate isn't happy with herself physically these days, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the reasons she chose not to release it. I love the woman to death, but she's always been very shy whether she admits it or not. She made a point to say that she's not a reclusive person, but part of me thinks she was just saying that so people will stop hounding (pun intended) her for new material.

One thing that did excite me is that she said she can't wait to make another new album now that BTD is finished and released.
