ARTPOP era 2.0.

No video for the second single, and now this era is going to be marred by gaga's sadness in every interview.

Over it.

... yikes.

I see it more as- Gaga has had these issues for, like, her whole life, at this point. She was raised in an affluent family, is actually generally praised her talent, etc. and still deals with debilitating depression and mental illness (going by the fact that she openly stated a few years ago that she's still on medication).

It's a tough issue to think about from a poor person perspective- hell, I'm from a poverty family, and sometimes it irks me, because I know she and other people have an infinitesimal higher amount of resource access than my family or my neighborhood ever will.

But at the same time, I have to check myself- yes, money can buy happiness and health resources and whatnot, but it's not as cut and dry as we make it out to seem.

It's not necessarily some sort of deal with the devil i.e. you can deal with people dehumanizing and objectifying and taking away your personhood for fame and wealth.

In a deeper, more intrinsic way, it kind of boils down to how we treat celebrities, in correlation with more complex capitalistic systems and how it benefits some over others, vice versa, and such.

I agree with all of this.

People should actually listen to the advice of not comparing yourselves to someone else. No one has any idea what someone goes through behind closed doors and should probably zip it instead of prejudging.

Gaga has always said it's lonely being famous- so no. Hardly "lying"

From the viewpoint of us fans, we know her more "intimately" so to say. For your average person there's an obvious mismatch between her ideas and her actions.

At what point did she ever say there was no video? Unless you've never realized many of her videos came months after a song went to radio.

Who cares what someone thinks that doesn't have all of the information? She should base her emotions on how some random person in Texas could interpret them?

its not like she ever  tryed to be out of focus, since the start of her carrer she always promoted something in media ... i am a fanand love her.  she can complain, but i call it a bullshit - she despreatly loves exposure- that is a fact,  prove me wrong if you can

U decided to set up interview about yourself on biggest national teevision to talk about , not just your album but your family, ex boyfriend ,dad and dead aunt- which is fine, but to than say you  dont like all the atention is complete paradox

It made more sense in Fame/Monster era when she clearly made the whole art project about fame whoring and selling out as social  comentary, but now with the new , straightforward and HONEST person she present herslf its seem unecesary to make this kind of contradictory and corny statements.

lol you're angry over nothing

plenty of people go through worse **** but that doesn't discredit someone else's feelings.

I agree with you that it doesnt discredit them but as someone who has gone through depression and sexual trauma, you have to move on. You have to get help. You have to put it behind you and enjoy life. You cannot keep going back to it. And from personal experience, it can be done. I also suppose it would be easier with tonnes of money like Gaga because she can have hours of counselling, a holiday here a holiday there, she can buy cars and go crazy... I have done it without the money it pisses me of she won't do it even with it... Someone has to tell her!!!

Enough with the sadness, the 'my aunt died and it ruined my life', the 'im never enough for my daddy' the 'im in constant pain'... BE STRONG GAGA. THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING.

I see where you're getting at, but @Americano has a point in that... it's very, very different for each individual.

Like, yes I agree that I want Gaga to be strong not just for the whole world, and her fans, and her family, but also for herself.

But at the same time, traumatic/really fücking awful events, and how they affect and bring back memories of each other, are more than likely not mutually exclusive.

3 points in and ready for more

Love your last paragraph. Completely agree. Beautifully worded.

She just literally says"be strong in your heart if you don't know how to handle your troubles"and some of you still think she's complaining:toofunny:

If that's what you think, your stupidity rendered me speechless

And why do you care about what I wrote then?

There's hardly only one person in Texas thinking like that, I've encountered countless people that think so and I'm not even in the U.S.

But I do care about it, others shouldn't be judging without really knowing her and she constantly gives them ways to.

I agree. Bad things happened to her. It was horrible. From what we know this was before her career took off.

Then when it took off people betrayed her and that hurts a whole fücking lot. I am aware.

But ever since ARTPOP, since the hip, since Troy, she has been stuck in this circle of not being ok with herself. Or being happy. Or being over it all. Maybe she needs more time.

All I'm saying is that she has the tools to get her out of it. Go live in Kenya for a month. I'm pretty sure no one would recognise her in a little town there. Go to work every day. Get real Gaga. You can if you want. If you haven't it's because you haven't wanted to and this masochistic thing of pittying onself is what I'm against.

If you feel isolated, sort it out. Get out more, make friends heck even if they're famous theyre still nice people... I just want her to MAN UP! (pardon the expression)

I think she already did that with building a farm and keeping dogs:sweat:

Tbh I wish I could just sit down with her and have a regular conversation. Not tell her how much I love her and how amazing she is (although that's all true - but she must be so sick of hearing it). I would just talk about life, love, just anything.
