Katie14 4,828
I think the visuals are way more beautiful for the AMAs but her voice sounded better on SNL and I prefer this song with piano and acoustic guitar. The electric guitar killed the mood for me.

boobtank 9,090
SNL was better in my opinion. Her vocals and the arrangement of Million Reasons was perfect! That video still doesn't work for me
viniferrett 16,684
amas because I didn't like her camel toe on snl
Bebe 17,094
The set production for the AMA awards was flawless. The wide shots showing her just surrounded by the glowing magical grass with the starry background had me gasping. They totally covered the stage so it looked like she was in the middle of this magical forest. The fashion was serving me Stevie Nicks and she actually looked comfortable playing the guitar. Mister Gaga 22,924
AMAs, but SNL was equally flawless
juicyjuicy 1,985
SNL - her vocals were on point, crisp and beautiful - 100%. And I live for the arrangement and the way she sings "away". Her outfit was so on brand as well and I loved the movement from piano, to standing to on top of the piano. And Hillary standing right next to her the whole time. AMA was okay. Lackluster and nothing memorable compared to SNL. I wish she swapped the two performances...
Music 15,215
love both. but SNL only because.. Piano >
JupiterDrive 2,788
AMAs obviously One of her best live
Haroon 49,685
Overall AMAs, the visuals took it to somewhere magically ethereal Both vocals were amazing and special in their own ways, but I tend to prefer performances that I enjoy watching AND listening to rather than just listening to We meet again discussing this question
Awrah999 4,326
SNL Her belts on "away" are so powerful and beautiful. The piano and outfit are better than AMAs IMO
Sorcerer 12,507
Even though her vocals were just a small bit more polished in SNL, AMAs was everything. Even the guitar worked for me. And I can't say anything for the stage set. It looked like she was singing alone beside a lake.
anomdepllume 393
I thought you could really see a more angry side to the song on the AMAs performance. I loved the aggression you could feel, especially after the tough week she's shared with us. I think they're both two sides of the same coin, two different performances of a great song, both equally valid interpretations that brought something new to the table. Although the AMA gets my vote because the set was BEAUTIFUL and that's the most comfortable I've ever seen Gaga with her guitar. Her skills have really improved!
