Exactly that. She found out about it years ago, Revival is about her battle with it. She has her ups and downs and these past months she's been on rehab because of it getting worse. Thanfully she is better now.

Is she in rehab because of her lupus or mental health issues (or mental health issues stemming from having a chronic illness)?

I believe both, because it is also very stressing and consuming.

I think people are taking this too literal. She's talking about caring about who people are on the inside instead of only focusing on how people are on the outside.

Look at GGD as an example. They body shame women 24/7.

Well, she could have said it in a better way. But I get that she was very emotional during her speech

That last line tho... So much truth it hurts. When it's Nick Jonas you see them nutellaing instantly but when it's about a woman, they drag her.

Makes sense. I wonder if Gaga knows about her history and illness.

Off topic but remember the Katy Perry/Orlando Bloom thread.... horrifying

I believe she does, she was crying and rooting for her the whole time and I even think she got closer to her these past years. She loves Gomez.

I get why people are going to love this speech, but it takes a lot to be comfortable with your body.

So if someone is comfortable with showing it, all the power to them

Yea but what does this have to do with the speech

She said I don't wanna see your bodies on instagram, with emphasis on theaka personal preference, she's basically saying to her fans she admires their love and dedication more than their body pics. She is totally entitled to say that, as it is how she personally feels. While I do agree to an extent being comfortable with your body is really hard and once you get there, you are entitled to show it off if thats what you want but in my opinion being comfortable with who you are on the inside is way harder. Selena is a great example, she looks STUNNING from day 1 and she just admitted to being broken. There are more problems to life than just being comfortable with our looks.

I never said she wasn't entitled to say that. And I never put emphases on being comfortable with looks as something important or a problem. I think you've completly misunderstood my post. I was simply posting from the opposite perspective. Because people should respect people regardless of what they post etc

I agree with what she said, but I agree with the perspective I posted as well.
