Also, to be fair, Mike Pence is not openly "for" conversion therapy, but he believes it should be a legal option and parents should have the right to do whatever is necessary to preserve the "straightness" of their child if they think it will work. 

This isn't as heinous sounding as "he supports electroshock therapy to turn your kids straight", but he is okay with the fact that this exists and believes it can be effective, which is still just as bad.

It is exactly as heinous it sounds and he does openly support conversion therapy. The only difference is that conversion therapy is more than electrocuting underaged dicks, which is the only thing republicans have to say when the topic is brought up and that is NOT okay.

We should never ever ever tell them "well it's really not that bad," because it IS that bad.

So, this is evidently an anti-Trump forum, and all of you bully someone with an open-mind because he doesn't take sides and points out the blatant bigotry. It's no surprise that those who mock and insult Pence or anyone related to Trump gets likes.

You people are no different than blind Trump supporters. I feel bad for Pence who has to work with a man who half of America seriously dislikes. He didn't deserve the treatment he received. You're absolutely correct. But it shows how bigoted the American voter really is. Some on this thread said he would make it his life to ruin Trump's life. Oh, wow. That's very productive. There are students who are protesting who should be studying to get a job, to pay the bills, to feed their children. No, it's immature.

I would have loved to have a president who was the best of both Trump and Clinton. I like that Trump isn't PC, and is a straight talker. I like that Clinton is composed and professional. I don't like that Trump talks faster than he thinks, staying stupid nonsense sometimes (and this is where the anti-Trump bigots say he says stupid nonsense all the time). I can list the cons of both candidates. They're both bad.

But I'm not going to be a baby, (Ted Cruz came out and called the protesters what they are, hypocritical idiots), and be bitter about it. Do some people even stop and think? I expect this much from adults. But again, it's the minority against anti-Trump bigots. Just like it's the minority against anti-Clinton bigots.

Rhetoric has a very very strong effect on the country, as I've said. That's a MAJOR reason people vote for their president, they believe the rhetoric will translate into policy and practice.

Also, the presidency is not a job where you just wave your hands and make things happen. You have to have MATURITY, good speaking skills, diplomacy, a willingness to compromise, respect for all other people, and a hell of a lot more. Donald Trump showed repeatedly that he has none of these. This is just how effective leadership governs. Ofc, if you believe "political correctness" is destroying this country, then ofc, you think words are just words  Words motivate actions, and Donald Trump has re-ignited bigotry into this country, its literally spreading like wildfire. 

Also, if you dont want to talk about rhetoric and temperament, Hillary Clinton was objectively a more qualified candidate. She has a history in compromise, had very good approval ratings, was known as a good mediator, good diplomacy skills, experience in the white house itself, and is very intelligent and had good policies; on top of that she was malleable, and known for reaching across the aisle to make change happen.

You can NOT seriously defend Trump on the basis that if you remove rhetoric and temperament, he was even a decent candidate. He had almost no policy of his own, just general statements he couldn't explain, he showed his lack of expertise at every time. He WON because of Rhetoric. He should have lost because of Rhetoric, Temperament, and qualification. He's not fit to lead. 

I addressed all of your points re: the electorate and what is important to them in my previous post, so I won't repeat them here as you have already proven that you will just ignore them. 

You're also so far off base about his lack of policies that it's absurd. I also stated that in my previous post. If you watched only the debates, which were almost entirely focused on 3-second sound bites, both about Hillary's emails and about Donald's tape from 20 years ago, you won't have learned much. But he has established principles and policies that he has proposed - he has stated them in interviews, he has stated them at rallies(of which there are hundreds and hundreds of hours of video clips), his surrogates have stated them, and if you choose not to listen then that's your prerogative. 

There is just a lack of logic in the position that you're taking, and that's where I find your position to be the most offensive to your credibility. You can whine and moan about "offensive words" and "let's all hold hands," but there was a reason a great number of people didn't trust Hillary Clinton, and there was a reason that Donald Trump won, and you can spin it as the country hates women and suddenly all the racists and bigots came to vote, but that's an excuse, and you know it. 

Look, your post in its entirety doesn't even address the main points that I brought up, you only brought up the standard points that every single person does. I brought into the discussion separate entities that were really what the American voters were concerned with, but if you're as irrationally hung up on certain issues as you've been told to do, that's unfortunate, and that's something that hopefully  you'll be able to address in the future, or else you will continue to be blind-sided by politics and follow one train of thought unquestionably until the end of time.
