Why are Gaga's injections treated as such a sensitive topic in this fanbase

But I was trying to make the point that the countless threads about her face seem superficial. Like, why should we care what she looks like? She's a very beautiful woman, but I became a Little Monster because of her music and her message.

Her procedures aren't plastic surgery. By the way, I saw a video of her doctor saying that she felt stronger and wiser and wanted to make herself look like that as well, so she did this to her face. Not a big deal.

I don't really think it's about her face, her fans love her. No one here would be whining and complaining if they didn't have so much love for her.

It just seems that Gaga has been making a series of questionable decisions (my opinion) whether it's regarding single choices or promotion or outfits, and I guess her features too. The only reason they're questionable is because it seems she's eliminating her 'Gaga-ness', so it shouldn't be shocking that most of her fans are freaking out.

We fell in love with Gaga, as complicated as she was she spoke to us. Whatever she's putting out now isn't breaking through to many of her fans and that's saying something.

Her face looked more like her old face at the Hillary Clinton rally. I felt like that's the Gaga I know. When she has the injections I feel like I can't associate her as the same person because she's changed her face too much. I have nothing against her doing it if she wants but I hope she knows that it's hard for the fans to see her as the same person. I know it sounds stupid but it's how I feel.

That's the thing. Gaga has built an incredibly close connection with her fans, so any minor changes can cause a reaction. I don't think it's silly, it just shows how much her fans love her and how attached they are to her.

Guess it's sad we have nothing more to discuss other than whatever she does with her face. Let's not pretend either that she doesn't look strange and squary, almost like she has dense bones or something, it looks kinda mainly even, sometimes.

It still seems superficial to me. It were something like drug use, then I'm all for going against that, but changing her face doesn't upset me. I mean, she looks great in these new Harper Bazaar shoots, granted, they're edited, but I think she looks fantastic. 

I don't think her single choices or outfits are questionable decisions whatsoever. While I would have liked A-YO, Million Reasons  just was much more "GP-friendly" and relatable, and her outfits are pretty cohesive and I've been loving them so far; I think they fit this album well. 

She's not eliminating her "Gaga-ness" whatsoever. She's changing herself, internally, and I suppose, externally. This is just a change, and while I'm not particularly shocked that fans are freaking out, I think it's, quite frankly, trivial. I don't think it's all that important.

If it's about loving her, then love her for who she is now and what she looks like. I'm sorry, but I'm seeing no love when a lot of the time it's constant comments about her cheekbones, her nose, her mouth, etc. etc.
