This is why the RedOne tracks didn't make it she just used this to get her name out there. Now the pop bops are coming!

No hits

No fashion

No big performances

No interest

I wouldn't say the era is over, but this is 100% true. She needs to be turning heads and promoting and bringing attention to her album.

Spoiler

tbh if she hadn't scrapped Chaos Angel and 8 RedOne songs were out and the whole record was mainly pop and 'the new fame monster' like everyone thought it was going to be, you know good and well the world would be living for her again this album wouldn't be so simmered-down and boring.

I love Joanne, but after the fame and tfm, btw and AP came out, everyone was crazy for her, she was bringing attention to herself and promoting the f*ck out of the albums. :neyde:

People are scared because MR is hardly getting any support from radio, while Adele and Rihanna's fourth singles are getting a lot more airplay. And the song is out of the top 200 on spotify. Honestly, they have every reason to worry. Gaga has to do something groundbreaking to fix this. And quick.

What is the point of worrying about any of this? How will it help? Will it make the music sound better?  I love Million Reasons, so do all of my friends, and we can listen to it anytime we want. Why does it matter how it's doing on a chart?

It's one thing to discuss chart positions/speculate.

But why would people actually go as far as being "scared" because of a chart? The song will sound the same regardless of how it "charts".

Why didnt all the "chart fans" jump ship during the ARTPOP era? I thought it became obvious at that point that Gaga wasn't going to be dominating the charts any longer. I assumed any fans who are still with her would have accepted that. Im guessing I was wrong.

No shade or dragging or anything negative intended! Just trying to help myself understand a different point of view ♥️.

This.

Gaga's career survived the AP era and she came back from that trainwreck with one of the biggest debuts of the year, and no hit on radio and the media & critics not up her ass. That is pretty much a ~slay~ no matter how you spin it. To me, this proves she's a album seller/career artist that is able to take risks and go wherever her whimsy takes her and still be successful - that's pretty ****ing rare. I don't get any meltdowns at this point.

Agreed. I'm so happy with Joanne and where her career is now. I was never worried after the ARTPOP backlash really, but she's gone above and beyond to solidify her place in the music industry.
