He also marched to MLKs "I have a dream" speech in the 60s. Voted against the Iraq War, voted against the Patriot Act, more than 34 years of elected public service, and refuses corporate donations. What was Ms Clinton doing? As a young Republican volunteering for a senator (Barry Goldwater 1964 Presidential campaign) who opposed and voted against the Civil Rights Act. Nobody is saying he would do a better job because he is a man though, they think it's because of his ideas and platform. A platform that was very different to what Clinton offered. I agree that he would have done better, but you know who I think would have done even better than Bernie? Elizabeth Warren. Well that's the sort of anti-semitism people from a Jewish background have to face every day. Saying a non-jewish person would have done it better is anti-semitic Sanders wouldn't have had to appeal to white supremacists. We saw that he appealed better to Independents than Clinton and Trump. We saw the data during the primaries that showed he fared better in the General election against Trump than Hillary. Sanders, due to his progressive platform and his populist ideas during a populist time, would have reached out to the progressives that Clinton was unable to reach, he would have appealed better to independents, and surprisingly politicians like Sanders and Warren actually show some high favorability among Tea-Party type republicans due to their united message against corporatism and corporate politics.
