Chicka 2,385 Posted November 10, 2016 Share Posted November 10, 2016 So I wanted to make a poster for the Joanne World Tour (I'm calling it that until Gaga gives us a real name), and I thought of this concept for the stage. I was inspired by the Born This Way ball stage, because I loved how simple and theatrical it was. It was just a big beautiful castle, which made the stage feel like a play. So for Joanne, I thought it could be interesting if the stage was another kind of "set" rather than an abstract setup of things like other tours (ARTRAVE was amazing with the clear catwalk and everything, but the background wasn't quite as thrilling). So, in my fantasy world, at the center of the stage is a little "dive bar". Maybe a brick wall kind of space like the Bitter End, with neon signs and stuff. So when the show starts out in this little space, it feels very small and intimate, so she can perform her slower songs here. But after the first song or so, up above the dive bar could be huge skyscraper set pieces. They would obviously be smaller than real towers, but it could be an illusion like how at Disney parks the castles seem so much bigger than they are. These buildings could light up in different ways with the music, and maybe one of them she can appear inside of. OOOH I just thought of this: for the catwalks, maybe they could have like ****in street lamps or something on them to fit the city theme. There's another GGD user who came up with a somewhat similar theme back before we knew about the album, so I think they subconsciously inspired this idea for me. I just think since this album is so personal she's not going to want to go TOO crazy with the stage, but this is something that is extravagant while still close to home to gaga. She's probably gonna make the stage a barn with horses walking around, but I can dream, can't i? Anyways here's the poster: Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
