I'm disappointed in her. Very irresponsible and immature of her to be tweeting comments like this, encouraging the protests by saying it's "Trump's fault." Right now in LA, protesters have shut down the freeways, are putting our police officers in harms way, and costing LA taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars (probably hundreds of thousands of dollars) in expenses to help contain this mess.

There's nothing productive about this activity. There are countless other ways to mobilize and have your voice heard without shutting down an entire metropolitan city and putting innocent people in danger (while breaking the law by sitting on the freeway, mind you).

Gaga is being completely hypocritical. She needs to accept the results and move on.

No **** that and **** you for thinking that.

While some of you just want to be complicit with the system and normalize a xenophobic man who ran a campaign on racial prejudice and instilling fear, most of us rejected that view and we will have our voices be heard now.

Make no mistake, we will defend our human rights and not allow them to be taken away without a fight!

And piss off if you are gonna get mad at those who are actually doing something about it and fighting back against injustice.

Wyd Gaga. This whole situation is getting annoying.

Even Hillary and Obama accepted the results and wanted a peaceful transition.

I agree. They need to have a goal before they protest like this too or its wasted.  They don't seem to be actively calling for a change in the voting system or anything that could help with future elections it's just anti trump. I feel them but they can't stop him being president now they need to take time and decide what action is needed going forward to stop this happening again.

Well, not really. If we lived in a democracy and had a democratic system of electing presidents Hillary would win, as she received more votes. But I don't think that is what these protests are about. I don't see any of those protesters trying to challenge his win, they are just making their disapproval of him as clear as possible. It's a rejection of his rhetoric not a rejection of the results of the election.

But many voting systems around the world work the same, even here in the uk. I don't seem to be seeing people call to a change in voting system for the next election though just that this one should be overturned. I feel them but it doesn't work that way. Its wonderful people have come together to protest but they need to not waste it. They need to decide on what changes they want and demand them. Just showing they 'reject trump' won't ensure people can't run a campaign like his again

I'm disgusted by her right now.....

She was stressing how we need to come together after the election and be one but did she not mean it? Or did she mean only if her candidate wins. I am so upset. This is a time where we come together and move forward. The people have spoken its done. And perhaps if everyone didn't treat this a a joke the last year and 1/2 you would have seen this coming. Idk what everyone was watching its been common news that he is running for president.  But Gaga and all the others where smug and assumed  they would win.

WE as a country are really divided (Before Trump even started his campaign)  and I live in NYC. This is serious for our city. Life stops here when things happen like this. She is acting Irresponsible and honestly I don't support her at the moment

I 100000% agree.

This is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen Gaga say. This is not the Gaga I know.

The Gaga I used to know would tell us to stop hurting each other and stop the hatred and that just because the President may be hateful DOESNT MEAN WE HAVE TO BE!!!!!

TELL 'EM SIS!!! :golfclap:

When terrible things happen, you fight, that is what people of value do.

Trump did campaigned by igniting hatred and division, this are the consequences of his actions. She did not lie.

Freedom of speech. They get to protest; they get to have their voice heard. But I think, it just shows how hypocritical they are and the irony that lie in their thinking.

They are putting up a resistance and not thinking about future tactics. They are rejecting a fact, which cannot be undone. Liberals should be more liberal in their thinking. Be more progressive than regressive.

I can't see how they are pushing their country forward. This looks very backwards to me. Burning the flags, causing disorder around the cities, spouting anger, it just goes against the core of what a liberal is.

And I think it just does not represent the land of the free. Land to be free to think, to speak, and to be. This is clearly a very close-minded display of civilisation.

Indeed what I feel so deeply wrong about these liberals are that they are fear mongering. Indeed we must always think of a compromise. There must be a middle ground in all life's corners. The stubbornness of either side would only lead to an impasse. That would be laughing stock for other countries who are moving forward while we are stuck in this quagmire.

Sometimes it can even be seen in some posts of their own denial. Writing an opinion and calling it not an opinion. I mean what does that even mean? Or disapproving Trump is not challenging him, not challenging the voice of the majority of people of USA?

Please just sit back and have a moment of rumination before you make a comment. People are just so uncivilised when they get all emotional so quickly. So emotional without thinking, without reason, like how the Liberals labelled the Republicans, and now it's biting them back from behind.

and he can't. because the rights that he wants to take away are protected by the supreme court. :smh: i swear.

He really can, especially with a GOP Senate and House. He can appoint extremely conservative Supreme Court justices, ones who vow to overturn liberal decisions, such as Roe vs Wade and gay marriage.

Where do I begin America?

Are you there God? It's me, Leaf

Lets start by using the metric system!

Next, have a referendum to change your unrepresentative voting system.

Most importantly, election campaigns should be publicly funded instead of corporations (which have personhood!), billionaires, super PACs and the electoral college deciding your elections.
