Voter's turnout was the lowest of the last 20 years http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/11/politics/popular-vote-turnout-2016/ It is quite surprising that only 55.4% of eligible voters voted considering how presidential debates were garnering all time high ratings... Complete nonsense. The relative voter turnout was 58.1%. The factual voter turnout was the second highest in history with 134 mil ballots counted... 2000 had relative voter turnout of 55.3%. 2012 had 58.6%. 1996 had 51.7%. That's 2/5 that were lower and 1/5 which was nearly the same... Sure the population increased, but don't act like it was at all a factual low turnout or the lowest in 20 years. http://www.electproject.org/home/voter-turnout/voter-turnout-data

Sara 1,144
Protests won't change the outcome of an election, but protests are absolutely vital! They are a great way to raise the visibility of your issues. History is full of great protest movements that did a lot of good.
