People should stop, Protests won't do anything.

Not doing anything, won't do anything either, so why can't they speak their fears and voices?

As appalled as I am about Trump being elected, these protests are utterly futile. What do they hope to achieve? Do they think he'll just step down and let Hillary become president? That would fly in the face of democracy. He won fair and square. If he was ousted out of that position by some protesters, that would cause pandemonium among the republicans who voted for him. It would be a disaster, far more so than whatever Trump will inflict on the US for the next four years.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

It's about letting them know they can't do anything about minority and women's rights without a fight.

They should have done that before/during the election when their voices could actually affect change. That was their chance to fight. Protesting after the fact will do nothing. I admire them for their intentions, but they're just too late.

Of course it can have an impact. During a term a president ALWAYS keeps in mind the popularity and the impact on the next elections. Protests throughout the whole states could bring a lot of negative attention to the US public, and could thus convince a president to refrain from pushing through with new legislation.

you think all the backtracking Trump did these past days are genuine? It's to make these protests less energetic. It shows the impact of these protests.

The problem is the Electoral College. Hillary won the popular vote. And theyre protesting because theyre scared, angry and sad. Theyre votes didnt matter because Trump won. But 'technically' Hillary won.
