No No No. I did not really understand why you exactly think that college voted how they felt ? I do not think college votes are casted yet but college votes of a state is supposed to go to whomever got the most vote in that state. College votes are specific to the states, not to entire country. Nation-wide popular vote do not mean anything to college votes.
BurberryKisses 43
I thought that everyone knew that the U.S. is a democratic republic. We vote for people to represent us on a larger scale. It's literally been that way since 1776. The U.S. was never a "true democracy"

Hillary isn't a figure that would be able to lead a movement like that, and Republicans have no interest in getting rid of the electoral college because that would obviously not benefit them. It wont happen, no matter how much you and I would like it to. Hillary is not who is going to spark the change, it's going to be trump if president trump looks anything like candidate trump

If Hillary won the electoral college, but Trump had the popular vote, you people wouldn't care. The hypocrisy... As someone from a country where only the popular vote exists, ive though this is stupid since forever, and thats why the turnout is so low, there are states like Kentucky where your vote just doesnt matter. And yes, you are right with the hypocrisy, but it goes both ways, if that was the case Trump fans would be complaining too and calling it proof of it being rigged. The time will come when the US will have to ask itself if they actually have a democracy or not, the country is more unequal than people realize. Ive learnt a lot lately, maybe Trump needs to happen to really stir things up, the future of the world is in his hands, he has the chance to become the best or the worst president ever, go down in history with his whole brand as a hero, as a legend, or as a madman or worse. Idk why, maybe im saying it to delude myself (please let me), but I have this feeling hes gonna choose to be a Hero, his ego is more about success and being the best of the best, and having his brand work even after hes gone, many things can change, we dont know how much of his campaign was to attract his kind of voters and what was real, always happens, i dont think he wants people to hate him and ruin his brand for the future. Maybe im right, maybe im wrong, noone can really say at this point, but please let me believe this, i need to...

Kentucky's votes do matter. All votes matter, it's just that some votes wouldn't make a difference. Kentucky has 8 electoral votes. The minimum a state has it 3. Trump won Kentucky with 63% of votes.
