 Unfortunately I just cannot accept that as an excuse, not when there are so many places to turn for comfort. I don't know how else to respond without sounding even more douchey

not many people of the LGBT community live particular lives full of happiness. Sou I doubt, even if these people had full happy lives, were immune from depression.

Donal Trump's campaign started last year, if not the year before. So election stress/fatigue, the ideas of having recently granted right taken away, and their daily life stress probably all accumulated in one disastrous explosion once Trump was announced President.

What I'm saying is that you were being pretty insensitive towards it. This election was one of the most important ones in modern history, it's going to have such long, lasting effects.

You don't know what those people have gone through, you don't know their life story, maybe—and probably—they were dealing with things much worse before and this was just the tipping point for them. 

With a Republican lead Congress and Presidency, it's going to be hard for any member of the LGBTQ community, or really, anyone.

That's too bad. How would these people survive in some european countries where they could never even come out cause it would result with them being killed or thrown out of their home. Sad.

Not being able to comprehend the innumerable reasons for why some people choose suicide is no reason to disrespect the dead. Anyone can do it for any reason. Let's not put down those who choose to go through with it. Let's have some sympathy for those who got to the point where suicide seemed to be the only option for them.

It is. No two people are alike. Some people just handle situations differently and just because you know that there's something worse going on in the world doesn't mean that it's not worse for that person. I'm not saying what's going on in some European countries isn't terrible. Of course it is! To be killed or thrown out of your home just because of who you are, it's terrifying. That said, that can also happen here.

Again, you can't compare people. Some people just don't know how to properly handle a situation, and we need to be there and support them. Making almost a mockery of them isn't helping anyone, and in fact, may be hurting people.

Well I wasn't mocking them and what I said in my first post wasn't lie. I never said that the only reason they did was the elections. Calling me insensitive, when you acted that way telling I don't know what american lgbt dealt with when I live my whole life in an extremely homophobic country where coming out doesn't even exist, being a part of lgbt is something that can never be shown or told anyone, and would get you killed and is called sick and all kinds of other things. But that's fine. As you said we can never understand how other people handle stuff, some can handle more than others for sure.
