Yes, I think they should have and I do think those who voted 3rd party, abstained from voting, or cast donkey votes for fake candidates are partly responsible for this result. The DNC still absolutely bears the lions share of responsibility though. Hillary Clinton basically ignored young progressives and expected them to just tow the party line. It's the fault of the DNC that their candidate didn't properly reach progressive vote, it's their fault that their candidate didn't appeal to that voter base. It's not the fault of disenfranchised voters that they feel their supposed candidate doesn't represent them, it's the fault of the DNC for making such voters feel disenfranchised and feel like they are not being represented. I absolutely agree, which is why I supported Hillary in the end, and encouraged my American family and friends to do so. The DNC deserves all the criticism it's getting, we can't let them do something like that again, and that is what is my focus is on now that Trump is president. Not that the polls were actually accurate. That's another thing about this election. Almost every poll was wrong (not talking about strong D or R States). That fact that my State of Wisconsin voted for Trump AND Johnson (Senate seat) went against every poll that came out. But again, the FBI didn't help in this. Of course both are at fault That's what I wrote isn't it? But your exact response to a thread criticising the DNC was to deflect it onto Bernie supporters. Like I said, Bernie supporters should have voted Hillary. They are partly responsible for the result. At the end of the day though, the greater responsibility is on the DNC. She had multiple opportunities to mend the disconnect between herself and the young voter bad, but she thought she knew better. This result is a direct consequence of the DNC's stubbornness and their refusal to offer Bernie as an alternative. Remember when her surrogates said those vintage pictures of Bernie weren't him? And that he was pandering to African-American voters? Remember when her surrogates labeled Bernie supporters as sexist for not voting for Hillary? Remember when the next in line DNC chair was giving debate questions to Hillary? Remember when we didn't hear outrage from her campaign over the massive amount of nationwide voter purgers and voter suppression? Remember when the DNC itself issued an apology to Bernie? Bernie and his supporters aren't to blame for this outcome. The DNC should take full ownership of the results because they rigged a primary for a weak candidate. Majority of her "30 years of experience" were through positions GIVEN to her and the one position where she was elected was thanks to being in the blue blue blue blue state of New York! She is NOT a choice people actively want to make, building your campaign as merely a vote AGAINST Trump and not FOR her is a DISASTER. And now thanks to this unmitigated failure of a gamble we have to suffer immensely for years to come. It's burning to the ground, the Democratic establishment is over as we know it.
