Do you think this Is going to happen?

I know US Is first, but the freaking whole world Is going to be by the LGBT side.

If this starts, u ****ing better not stay quiet

Yes, it will really happen. They will turn much of this over to the states. That means a few states will still have equal rights, but many states will adopt these bigoted laws. I guess some people can move, but many are stuck in areas due to age and other factors.

Maybe we will get back to a progressive direction on these issues in a few decades when the Supreme Court shifts again. Maybe by the time millennials are in their fifties or sixties?

By that time they won't be millennials, they'll be old people. And old people tend to be more conservative. Every generation follows this pattern.

To everyone in the US; remember that you are still the majority, Clinton still won the popular vote, you are not alone. You must not let Trump push you around. Stand up for your rights. The rest of the western world, France, Germany, Canada, Britain, New Zealand, Australia, we are still here, and we will still support you.

That's not necessarily true.

The people stay as progressive. It's the Republican and Democratic party that become more progressive every generation, because they move along with the people. In 20 years from now the Republicans will support gay marriage.

You will no longer be able to fight for your rights with memes, tweets and signs, you will have to fight for them.

Although I hope that all the "gays for trump" people get ****ed with Negan's lucille

Actually you're wrong.

Millenials and recent generations have began skewing more and more liberal than previous generations ever were, suggesting they will be less likely to be conservative later on.

I'm very grateful as a gay man to live in New York State. What can be done to protect those in red states? This is absolutely terrifying.

I think as long as you live in a liberal state, like California, Oregon, Washington or New York, you will still be protected by state laws that protect rights for LGBT people. Even before the United States declared nationwide same-sex marriage or proposed laws that prevent LGBT discrimination, there were laws like this in place in many liberal states. I feel really sad for those in conservative states where things could get really dark :(

And this is why we have to fight for our fellow LGBT members in those states. When I first came out, my friend mark told me "welcome to the club. From now on, these people are your brothers and sisters. You must always be on the look out for them and they'll always be on the lookout for you." The LGBT community  has endured so much over the years and we've always come through with cuts and bruises but still in one piece. They'll never destroy us. We might bend but we'll never ever ****ing break

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

On a lighter note, yay a fellow New Yorker!!!!!!! *runs up and hugs you" lol moving to LA was my biggest regret. Miss NYC so much. I was born and raised there. On a slightly darker note, I have a feeling that we're gonna have a stonewall riot 2.0 in the near future. You're right we do have to protect our fellow LGBT members in the red states. Trump will never take anything away from us. We might bend but we'll never ever ****ing break

in all honesty, I don't believe much will happen.... maybe progress will be halted, but it won't go backwards... conservatives are often loud to win the votes and then become more liberal when they win because they cave into pressure from the liberal community. However, the average homophobes will become louder and more violent because they believe the law will be on their side.
