Clinton lost and it's still her damn fault. Really??? Aren't the people who voted the ones to be "blamed"? (Not really "blame" at this point since nothing's happened yet but yah get the point)

I've read a tweet somewhere that this elections is not about who you're voting for, but who you're voting against, and I think that's true. Trump is definitely a no-go but y'all bitch and whine about the candidate not being Bernie instead of voting for the girl. It's disgusting to see how many people voted for third party candidates, candidates with NO CHANCE of winning and are not particularly stunning candidates. Clinton is not to blame. The people are.

That's not my point at all, if I were American I for sure would have voted for Hillary. I'm frustrated with the DNC rigging the primaries against Bernie, it was a colossally stupid thing to do. Many people already distrusted Hillary, the DNC were cheating the system to push her against us because they naively thought Trump would easily lose against her. They were obviously extremely wrong, and this was already predicted to happen, Michael Moore  for one spoke about it. There were too many Americans that were so fed up with the system, they would give in to vote for someone like Trump because he seemed like the anti-politician, even if they didn't support a lot of his stances.

For you to say Bernie had no chance of winning is ridiculous, his policies were exactly what we needed, people didn't even get to KNOW Bernie and it's the DNC's and the media's fault.

Do not accuse me of whining because I wanted to vote for a guy instead of "voting for the girl". I'm Canadian, a feminist, and I don't chose who I support based on gender.

Not really talking about Bernie, but Stein etal (was he even on the ballot?). And I wasn't taking a feminist stance when I wrote "voting for the girl", I meant it to be like "voting for the hunty", like that. I want to be relatable :emma:

I think we're on two different pages here. I get you on the Bernie thing, the candidate shenanigans, but I think I have just moved on from him not being the candidate. I'm just reacting realtime, in-this-moment, whatever the situation is at the current. I'm talking about how some people voted for the third party despite knowing its very low chances of winning as it has definitely helped Trump win (writing that made me nauseous). Some people even voted for Harambe! Any sane person would not want Trump to win, but even that can't get America to band against him. Tragic nation.

I'm taking things in in the moment as well, and I think its a cop-out to be angry with people who voted third-party. We shouldn't be putting up with this two candidate system, and we shouldn't be putting up with the DNC rigging the primaries, I want them to learn from this; though they most likely won't. It's important for people to understand what really happened to Bernie's campaign, he was winning heavily in rural areas in the primaries, and performed well in Michigan and Wisconsin (which Clinton lost), those votes later went to Trump. He did well with white working class, and he had a real movement in place, unlike Hillary. The #NeverSanders group never would've been bigger than the #NeverClinton group, we need to keep talking about this so that the DNC knows that WE KNOW. Blaming it on third-party voters is a distraction from the real issues.

Trump won because he had an energized base, found people who felt disenfranchised by the establishment and he was traveling the country filling stadiums with people waiting half a day to see him. That's Bernie's MO, he would have won, and we can't just act like that doesn't matter.

If it was Bernie vs Drumpf, the orange garbage bag would still have won. Don't be delusional. His voter base hates Jewish people, don't forget that. Bernie's tax plan would have buried him with GOP voters.

At this point all we can do is look forward.

What you wrote basically sums up what I've been trying to say. Yes, Trump won because he has solid support despite his outright lacking, stupidity, and abrasiveness, while Hillary, someone who is DEFINITELY not worse the Trump, has people like you, who CANNOT move on from Bernie (and I am not dismissing him whatsoever but HE IS NOT THE DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND YOU CANNOT VOTE FOR HIM, YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT BUT YOU CHOOSE NOT TO), and people who would rather vote for Trump rather than Hillary, despite being a Democrat. Yes, it's not just the third party voters, but also for the Democrats who will choose someone worse, way, way worse than someone they "dislike" just because they can't get exactly what they want.

Again, this discussion is fruitless since the elections are over and a wild cheeto has the White House now. What you're saying about the primary is definitely true, but I think what I'm saying is also very accurate. A people should learn from it.

There will be another election in four years, and four years after that, and so on. You do not just move on from major mistakes like this, I want the election in 2020 to be much better than this one. Like I said before, I would've voted for Hillary, but I'm not American. My family and friends in the states all voted for Hillary, and I'm proud of them. It doesn't mean I can't discuss the issues, and what the Trump voters did is done, I don't want that to ever happen again. I'm not stupid, don't talk down to me, I know they couldn't have voted for Bernie, my point was the public needs to be aware of the faulty DNC so they never pull something like this again that leads to people voting someone like Trump in instead :saladga:. You're trying to shut down the discussion about Bernie because you think "WELL YOU CAN'T VOTE FOR HIM NOW SO SHUT UP", we aren't morons! Bernie supporters understand that, ffs, it's about learning from this election so it doesn't happen again.

It's not about not being able to move on from Bernie, it's about not accepting dirty and irresponsible politics like what the DNC did.

1. Never tried to shut down the Bernie discussion, I LITERALLY SAID IN A DIFFERENT PARAGRAPH ON MY LAST REPLY HOW RIGHT YOUR NOTIONS WERE, AND THAT WE SHOULD ALL LEARN FROM IT. I'm not saying you "move on", what I'm trying to say is that it did not help the campaign against Trump, which is B A D and S A D.

2. Can you comprehend without being offended? When did I talked down on you and made you feel stupid, honey? (I am talking down on you right now :nails:)

3. Again, we're on not the same page, I'm talking about a different thing, you're trying to blabber about another. Both right, nonetheless. (I've highlighted so you don't miss the point :madge:)

I was staying calm, you were the one going all CAPS, and acting like I don't know I can't vote for Bernie now is extremely condescending.

Because you failed to grasp this:

which is a significant bulk of what I was trying to make you understand. You were just going on and on and on and on and on and on about how the DNC has ****ed it up, which I, in multiple posts, have agreed with. It gets frustrating ya kno. I do not stay calm :ladyhaha:

The biggest issue is you saw it as an argument, I saw it as a discussion.
