When I went back to look at the top 10 songs on Top 40 Radio (pop radio), this week 10 years ago, I found that bands were really ruling the stations. It was such a shift from the previous years of hip-hop and r&B ruling Pop Radio. Five of the Top 10 songs were from bands with two of the others being from Justin Timberlake.

The Top 10 on Top 40 Radio were...

1. Lips of An Angel (Hinder)

2. Far Away (Nickelback)

3. My Love (Justin Timberlake feat. T.I.)

4. Too Little Too Late (JoJo)

5. How To Save A Life (The Fray)

6. SexyBack (Justin Timberlake)

7. Money Maker (Ludacris feat. Pharrell.)

8. Gallery (Mario Vazquez)

9. Call Me When You're Sober (Evanescence)

10. Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol)

Lips of an Angel lol. That song reminds me of my best friend whom I was in love with in high school, he's straight. He used to listen to that song very often.

It was either rock or hip hop back then. Riri started to bring some dance and then Gaga and David Guetta brought straight electronic into the scene.
