IMHO, Gaga knew at the time the G.U.Y. video was filmed that it would be the last from the album, based on the way she added in the other two songs.

This doesn't mean it's confirmed. Just some speculation based on something a fan posted.

Honestly I'm sure they were expecting ARTPOP to be a 5-single era like BTW but after everything that happened, they just decided to move on

There were plans very early on to make "Gypsy" a single. But  after everything that went down with Troy, Gaga and the rest of the Haus decided it was best to just move on, finish up the tour and work on Cheek to Cheek.

The ARTPOP era pretty much died after DWUW, so I'm not surprise there was no 4th single.

This makes me remember how much I loved the ARTPOP era, messiness and all. It is really what solidified me being a fan of hers. I don't know what made me feel it, but it is my favorite era.
