I was eating dinner and suddenly I hear Million Reasons on TV, and see it being used for promo.

It makes me so excited because I know many Israelis are going to Shazam it. I already know some of my friends and even my cousin know and love this song :)

check it out:

The title made me chuckle so much. Thats good that you're hearing gaga in your country, but dont we think this so called Stan culture (cringe for even saying that) lingo is going a bit too far, if I was just a general gaga fan coming to check on this site for the first time, it would all be like a foreign language to me all this gp, slay, leak ha nonsense. Just had to get that off my chest.

It's weird seeing an English song being used in an ad for a show from a generally non-English speaking country; is this usually happens around the world. Not my America-centric tunnel vision having blinded me from what the world is like beyond the States :duck:

We wouldn't do that if Gaga was as huge as before. It's sad that I get excited when I hear Lady Gaga.

Hell, last night I was hanging with friends and this dude was singing You & I and later Applause was played in the restaurant and I was so excited :\

Israel is really influenced by America so English is very common everywhere. I don't think it happens to same extent elsewhere (except for countries like India, Hong Kong or whatever)

So many settlers in Israel are from America, there was an article about them talking about "their land" in middle of Jerusalem, in English with American accent, cause their Hebrew is pretty weak. Funny, huh.

The most common case would be usage of a really popular english song's melody & instrumentals, and writing lyrics in their native language on the instrumental related to the whatever product they are advertising.
