Gaga can cry all she wants. But I'm questioning why she's crying so much in Japan. Does anybody have a theory? I can understand when performing Joanne but idk. She didn't cry on the Dive Bar while performing this song? Or didn't she perform it?

Probably because she is overwhelmed by her emotions and it's much more intimate in a studio than in a crowded bar.

What a beautiful performance! World-class vocals! I really couldn't think of a better reason to write my first post. I couldn't care less about her look in such cases. (I like it and think it's very appropriate for the overall context of the appearance, though.) This was all about the music. Yoku dekimashita, Gaga-san!

Welcome! Glad to have you here.

What "Yoku dekimashita" means?

Is there a difference between Gaga-san and Gaga-sama?

But she wasn't while premiering the songs on the Dive Bar?

I theorizing about if something has happened or smth.

@THEGERMANotta

Thanks! Glad to meet you here. :)

It means "well done" or "good job".

From what I understand, -sama is a more formal and respectful version of -san for higher-ranking and/or significantly older people. Japanese(-speaking) users may correct me if I'm wrong. I only speak very, very basic Japanese.

Where was she crying? Did she cry after the Joanne performance?

Lovely performance, great song.

If she is going to stick with modest fashion for this whole era I prefer this chic, modest, all black uniform over the A-Yo Cow Girl or Perfect Illusion Drunk Girl At Cochella look.

Did you really think it was a lovely performance? I understand this whole rock vibe, natural and honest style she has now, but to me it looked like she forgot to rehearse. I mean, what the F0CK was that with the guitar?  And I was ready for a "blow me away, Queen!" moment...

She cried when she got clothes at the press conference. Around 8:16.

Then she cried right after she sang Joanne, about 04:39. OK, I lied she didn't cry out but you can clearly see she's just about to cry but kisses the guitarist instead and puts a Poker Face on.

It didn't knock my socks off, I wouldn't even say it met her normal standard. Vocally she has been screaming so much lately that it was just refreshing to hear her sing gently and play around with the melody of the song. Her abilities as a guitarist are about as clumsy as her abilities as a pianist. I'm fine with her using instruments mostly as props. The guitar is the new disco stick.

Nothing revolutionary, but lovely.

I don't need know why monsters are arguing over her makeup or outfit. This is raw vocal and musical talent at its absolute best. This is a beautiful song, and her vocals are so emotive and soft with power used as perfectly placed punctuation rather than the default. Gaga is a once in a lifetime kind of artist, and she pulled off one of the most impressive performances of her career here.

I love both, but I actually prefer this performance audio over the studio version.

What's wrong with her piano playing? Sometimes she slams on the keys and misses notes but overall her piano playing is good.

Because you can count on one hand the number of users here who are interested in Gaga as an artist. The users with whom you can have a meaningful conversation - not about slaying, charts and makeup.
