No babe, she IS a vocalist. She can sing many different styles. Show me some examples of thinks she stole?

Really? I kinda felt like she showed off vulnerability well in "Sandcastles," not sure if you've heard that one or not. It's not perfectly put together, like it doesn't sound as if she and the producers took hundreds of takes to get a perfect vocal track together, y'know. It's rare, but she can leave things unpolished. I just think she's naturally a good singer to the point that what she sings is effortless to her, so presenting something that's more convincing emotionally is probably not easy.

This is probably a bit messy to read. Sorry in advance.

Those were my thoughts on her in general. Been following her career for a very long time, and for those reasons, I've never been a stan, although I acknowledge her great talent.

I did think that Lemonade was a terrific album, if just slightly overrated, and definitely the most revealing and bold she's ever been.

Her fanbase online win with the impression that they serve, but try as I may to see what they are so inspired by with her, I find her highly overrated. They can have that spot that they so tirelessly fight onward for though, it doesn't make it fact just because your fanbase is so obnoxious. Us Little Monsters have a past that proves this as well.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I do not question her talents as a vocalist or a performer, but her music is boring, her style is whatever and her vocals aren't that unique. She sparks no interest in me at all.

I think she's a fierce performer, but she's overrated as an artist, her team is bigger than some companies :awkney:

She's honestly so overrated it pisses me off.

I just found an article titled Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’: How the writing credits reveal her genius.

The article is praising her to the heavens for the fact that she is even included as a writer on the album. She wasn't the lead writer or producer on any of the tracks, merely a contributor (Hold Up had 15 writers, 6 Inch had 12 for instance). Overall the album had 72 writers. Now this doesn't make it bad at all, but the fact that they praised her for this is BS.

It then goes on to justify it by saying:

And Beyoncé’s not the only artist whose liner notes look this way. All pop stars work with songwriters, producers, and samples to create their art. Taylor Swift brought on songwriters for her first pop album 1989. Rihanna’s Anti credited more than 30 writers. So did the Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness. Kanye West’s most recent album The Life of Pablo employed more than 100 writers.

Then the part that really grinds my gears:

A popular album in 2016 with fewer than a dozen writers would be a massive anomaly.

Joanne had 12 writers, (and we all know how liberal Gaga is with her writing credits) Gaga was the lead writer on all but two tracks (Perfect Illusion, Come To Mama), and she was a producer on all of them. Will there be an article praising Gaga for this? Absolutely ****ing not.

I am not saying this discredits Bey in any way, merely using it as an example of how in the eyes of the GP, she can do no wrong. Yes she is a talented singer and performer, but there's better. Way better.

:applause:
