I mean he said "I didn't feel like I had control over anything else in my life, but food was something I could control, so I did" which is one of the most common eating disorder triggers :spin: But then why does he kinda contradict himself later in the interview?

Men aren't allowed to talk about their eating disorders, it lowers their perceived masculinity and there by their social standing. So lots of men talk in circles and try and down play their issues in order to persevere some dignity. The severity of his eating disorder may be questionable, but I don't know how anyone could read what he said and not acknowledge that he had an eating disorder of some kind.

We need more male public figures talking candidly about their struggles with body image, eating disorders, and mental health.

I am glad he is doing better and he now seems way happier that he's focused on himself and music.  Not trying to shade 1D but he seems like the most genuine and sweetest one of the group.  Well was part of the group.

If he ever gets hungry again he can eat my booty like groceries.

I doubt he passed 2 or 3 days without eating.

Edit: If he had, in a real world, and mostly in his world, to cop with it all and still going he'd take pills or drugs, or both. Now explain that

no we don't you both need to stop trying to be tumblr SJW

If SJW is being aware and caring about other people's feelings, I'll proudly hold that badge.

An eating disorder is not something funny or cute. I just think it's disgusting people would view it in such a way.

nobody is laughing at it he literally said he'll feed him
last time I checked offering something good to someone is well, good

something offensive to say would have been: "no wonder he looks skinnier than a zombie" or "he's exaggerating"

:oprah:

Stop treating it like that person meant it to be about genuinely helping Zayn.

They don't even see the seriousness of his disorder because they are blinded by his attractiveness.

As a person with beginnings of anemia I found it ZERO offending. You stop.

Couldn't agree more :applause:

I watched a very interesting short documentary thing just yesterday about male eating disorders, I found it a great watch and would totally say watch it if/when you have the time :O
