I can't imagine how her parents must feel having to watch their daughter fight cancer, just hoping she will survive, and then end up losing her to malicious bullies. I understand that they feel better about themselves by making fun of others' misfortunes, but what now? The poor girl is dead. What do those bullies feel? Joy at the idea that someone lived unhappy until the bitter end, or emptiness, maybe even compassion and regret, at having killed another human being? I think its mostly about fitting in with the crowd and maybe they don't realize how hurtful their words and actions are. I also think some people have a much lower sensitivity to feelings of guilt or remorse so they are able to bully others without feeling bad about themselves.
